Access To Information: The agreement between Health Canada and the Royal Society

July 10, 2013.

I have recently obtained an ATI document consisting of 153 pages regarding the agreement between Health Canada and the Royal Society of Canada to review Safety Code 6.

In such documents some of the information is blacked out. Despite this the ATI is quite revealing.

It reveals that Heath Canada recommended who should be on the panel (names were blacked out) and Health Canada provided the documents to be reviewed by the panel. How on earth is this 'independent'?

This process is deeply flawed. It makes a mockery of independent scholarly reviews. It demonstrates?at the best?that the RSC has been duped by Health Canada or?at the worst?that the RSC has colluded with HC. Neither are acceptable.

Serious Mistakes of Dr. James Rubin EHS Study

Dr. James Rubin is a psychologist who had done a series of studies on Electromagnetic Hyper Sensitivity (EHS). In his studies he concludes that EHS is a psychological condition. These studies were published as a proof that EHS is not real. Dr. Rubin was promoted and continues to study EHS.

A few days ago I stumbled upon something that might prove his methods completely wrong. It seems that the device he used to simulate RF radiation, emitted also ELF, medium and high frequency EMR during the sham exposure.

Belgium EHS Resolution Defeated

The proposal was not accepted by the government majority, however, the concerned parties have vowed to keep fighting for EHS persons.

A much more positive development from Belgium, coming from the Ministers for Health and for Consumer Affairs.

There will no longer be advertising specifically targeting children younger than 14 years of age. Sellers will be obliged to inform their customers of the SAR value. The sale of mobile phones specifically designed for young children up to age 7 will be banned in Belgium. A royal decree will be drafted later in the year to render obligatory the sale of mobile phones with headsets.

Das Landgericht Saarbrücken hat aufgrund der mündlichen Verhandlung vom 17. Juli 2015 im Plagiatsverfahren Dr. U. Warnke vs. Prof. A. Lerchl sein Urteil gefällt, das inzwischen auch rechtskräftig ist. Die neue Ausgabe des ElektrosmogReport 29, 5. Nov. 2015 berichtet über den Prozess.

Ein weiterer Prozess, an dem Prof. Alexander Lerchl von der Jacobs University in Bremen beteiligt war, ist eher ungünstig für ihn ausgegangen, wie andere gerichtliche Auseinandersetzungen auch (s. ElektrosmogReport 4/2015) ... Verhandelt wurde jetzt ... der Vorwurf von Prof. Lerchl, Dr. Ulrich Warnke ... hätte in großem Umfang Plagiate vorgenommen. Dr. Warnke reichte deshalb Klage ein und verlangte, dass die Verbreitung dieser Vorwürfe untersagt wird. Um es kurz zu machen: Die Klage hatte Erfolg?

Many lives could have been saved if the decisionmakers had reacted early to the warning signals, the European Environment Agency says in its new report.

New technology can sometimes have adverse effects, but have despite the many warning signals been ignored or covered up. This is the view of the European Environment Agency EEA, in its new report that contains several case studies.

One example mentioned in the report, Late Lessons from Early Warnings, Part 2, is the increased brain tumor risk from mobile phone use. Yet the government and authorities have not reacted sufficiently mean EEA.

Purchased studies?

The report says that the industry largely works proactively to stop stricter regulation. Among other things, by funding research manipulated to show zero risk. One example in the report is the risk of brain tumors from mobile phone use.

Swedish Radiation Protection Foundation has embraced the report and would like to see a change. They believe that responding early alarms can stimulate innovation and bring economic benefits.

There is abundant evidence of serious risks of microwave radiation from wireless technologies. Now EEA clearly show that early measures and tougher regulations contrary to the prevailing view, favours innovation, saves lives and provides significant economic gains.

We must stop letting the telecom industry fund and influence research on health risks, and throw out their scientists from government expert groups, says Tore Fahlström of Swedish Radiation Protection Foundation.

The Foundation invites Swedish politicians and decision-makers to act on EEA report s recommendations.

Blood brain barrier is damage

I was re-reading ''Disconnect'' by D. Davis last night. Page 232 there is a 2002 study by Dariusz Leszczynski who was working at the Finland National Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority at the time (a government agency).

The study essentially showed that after just 1 hour of regular cell phone exposure, the endothelial cells in blood looked different. This means the blood brain barrier is damaged and that molecules that damage brain cells can enter the brain.

His study confirmed what Allan Frey and Salford determined in the 1970's and 90's.

Leszczynski stated that ''if the blood brain barrier is damaged, people would be experiencing headaches, fatigue and problems sleeping'' (common symptoms of smart meters) and ''maybe even much more serious issues down the line.''

He went further in stating that ''the reason this finding was so upsetting was not that we proved cell phones were bad for you, but that it clearly showed that radiation from a phone had biological impact. After this work, which in fact repeated that of many others and was done in our laboratories, the world can no longer pretend that the only problems with cell phones occurred after you could measure a change in temperature. This view was always mistaken, of course, and our work showed that.''

With smart meters, the companies/utilities are always stating that they act just like a cell phone and are no worse. They constantly say there can be no non-thermal biological effect (just as cell phone companies state). We should throw this back at them as this is patently false and the above study (along with many others) show this. The symptoms these researchers predicted are happening to people affected by smart meters across the country and world.
