We are coming into an election year and President Obama is pulling out the stops to ensure his re-election. This includes a strategy of allowing people who get 5,000 sigs within 30 days on a petition to be heard by his administration. I have put together a few petitions for the altogether ignored issue of human and environmental health with EMF. Please sign them all (you can copy and paste your info from petition to another to save time). Hopefully they will all get equal amounts of sigs but I have some of the results of the petitions posted on our website and apparently some of these issues are more important to you than others. :). That s fine. They will all get dealt with eventually...hopefully within my lifetime. Please post them on your FB. Tweet them, you name it. This paper addresses the argument stating that since the energy of a single Radio Frequency (RF) photon is extremely small it cannot influence matter significantly and therefore RF radiation cannot cause cancer. The argument is shown to be wrong since most known phenomena and uses of RF radiation involve many photons acting in unison. For example in a particle accelerator a multitude of RF photons act simultaneously on a single elementary charged particle. We show that his holds for particle physics, capacitors, fluorescent tubes, radio communications, RADAR and living tissues. These phenomena are best treated by considering RF radiation as a wave phenomenon.

Anyone in California who already has a 'Smart' Meter installed, or is being threatened by your utilities that you cannot keep your analog meter, here is something to use to demand to keep or get back your analogs. The utilities keep claiming that the CPUC is in charge and requires us to have 'Smart' Meters, but now the president of the CPUC publicly states we do have a choice.
Please exercise that choice, even if you are not one of the people directly impacted, please do so in solidarity with the injured. Injury from this technology can happen to anyone at anytime, and demanding to keep or get back your analog will help those who are already being injured by the meters.

Today, on Friday 23 September 2011, at the time of the Hygiene and Safety Committee of the François Mitterrand BnF (National Library), a vote took place on the project to rollout Wi-Fi in the Oval Room of the Richelieu site (in the 2nd district of Paris), at the Tolbiac site (in the 13th), as well as in the LABO of new technologies, where the only offerings in terms of documents will be those of the Orange operator 'kiosque'.
On the rest of the unions, three experts were appointed: Professor Belpomme from the University of Paris 5 (Descartes), Etienne Cendrier from the French national Robin des Toits Association and Agnès Dutrevis, Officer of the Administrative Library of the City of Paris and member of the Hygiene and Safety Committee for the City.
An exchange of information and clear presentations on the topic showed evidence that such a system would not only be dangerous to the health of the staff in the long term (the WHO having classified electromagnetic waves and possibly carcinogenic, Group 2B) and would close the doors of people who are hypersensitive to electromagnetic waves, the number of which is unfortunately increasing.
In addition, this technology is no longer the most reliable, nor the best suited for the quick transmission of data, contrary to optical fibre, an alternative solution backed by the unions and their experts.
The French Unions (CFDT, CGT and FSU) voted unanimously against this project, thus in compliance with the Precautionary Principle and in favour of equality for everyone with regard to access to Library services.

Teresa Treacy remains in jail and support for her continues momentum. There have been published letters to the press by outraged citizens and strong editorials in numerous broadsheets. But there she is at 65 and still holed up in jail. But, good for her-unrepentant and defiant. She will not give in!
Thousands have signed the online petition for her release but if some of our international supporters have not done so yet, please do so.
And there will be a protest from 12.00-2.00 tomorrow (Tuesday, 4 October) for her, in Dublin.

Any attempt to install this device on my property or residence will constitute trespass and a violation of rights afforded to me as a citizen of Canada.
I refuse your wireless Smart Meter on the grounds that it has the capability of being a surveillance system, used by you or other parties, which could violate my right to privacy.
Also: my fundamental democratic right to protect my health from a possible carcinogen, specifically radiofrequency electromagnetic fields emitted by your wireless Smart Meter, supersedes any right you have to install a wireless Smart Meter on my property.
