The 2011 International Scientific Conference on EMF and Health will take plake on the 16th and the 17th of November 2011 at the European Parliament in Brussels.

This conference is organized under the auspices of the European Commissions' Scientific Committee on Emerging and Newly Identified Health Risks (SCENIHR). Althus it is the most important electrosmog-conference for all 27 countries of the European Union!

Many speakers are invited, but most if not all of them are directly or indirectly linked to the telecom industry.

And none of the scientists of whom their research has proven that there are harmful health effects of pulsed microwave radiation are invited to speak at the conference! We for instance refer to the following non-invited independent scientists and emf-specialists: L. Hardell, H. Lai, M. Kundi, F. Adlkofer, G. Oberfeld, O. Johansson, M. Havas etc. All of them have confirmed that they have not been invited at this conference.

As we know, the exponential rise of electrosmog in the past decade in every house, school and city has become a major threat to public health. The health of children, millions of electrosensitives and future generations is at stake here! The politicians and the general public need to realize that public health is the utmost important and act accordingly.

Thats' why during the conference we will protest at the entrance of the EU Parliament on Wednesday the 16th of November.

We demand:

- much less electrosmog with a regulation that fully applies the precautionary principle
- recognition of electrohypersensitivity as a functional impairment (as in Sweden)

We are convinced this EU-conference is the perfect opportunity for us, for the European Anti-Emf Organizations to cooperate and unite our protest.

Coming hard on the heels of the flawed Danish cohort study (see previous messages) the spin doctors are out of their bat caves proclaiming in the media that this now proves that mobile phones are safe. Exampled here are the claims made by Rodney Croft, former head of the defunct ACRBR/TELSTRA collaboration. (Highly recommended reading: http://www.emfacts.com/download/A_Machiavellian_Spin_Sept_2010.pdf )

It doesn t take much for Croft to come out in the media with claims that a recent study proves mobile phones are safe and that Australian neurosurgeons who think otherwise are deluding themselves. Perhaps being a professor of health psychology he should offer some group therapy to help the neurosurgeons overcome their delusions?..

Note where he claims that 'there has been a lot of talk about with the increase in mobile phone usage that there has also been an increase in brain tumours. And I think that this suggests that those kind of statements aren t very accurate:

Wrong Rodney, its more than just talk. See the paper published in Neuro-Oncology 13(7):783?790, 2011: A multicenter study of primary brain tumor incidence in Australia (2000?2008). To quote: 'A significant increase in primary malignant brain tumors from 2000 to 2008 was observed?'.

Being the former head of the defunct ACRBR/TELSTRA collaboration he should know how to analyze a study properly and to recognize its limitations and report the facts accurately before running off to the media saying all is well. As they used to say in the Wild West, being quick on the draw is fine, provided you don?t shoot yourself in the foot?..
