Anders Ahlbom chaired SCENIHR (2004-2007) and was member (2009). At the same time his brother was working for the major Swedish telecom operator (TeliaSonera) as a lobbyist. None knew about it then.

There are conflicts of interests in this committee:

1) Joachim Schüz (responsible for radiation and env. at IARC) did not declare on the Swiss foundation telecom money and not on the Danish Cohort money in his declaration of conflicts of interests to SCENIHR: http://ec.europa.eu/health/archive/ph_risk/committees/04_scenihr/docs/doi_scenihr_schuz2_en.pdf

2) Mattsson is on the TeliaSonera scientific board.

3) Auvinen was coordinator of the Interphone study in Finland. Nokia and operators have funded his research for years now.
