Mobile phones cause 'five-fold increase in brain cancer risk'

By Stephen Adams, Medical Correspondent

Swerdlow is the head of the Epidemiology standing committee of the ICNIRP, I think Ahlbom was the former head. Ahlbom is not in this committee anymore but he is 'only' a consultant expert to the ICNIRP http://www.icnirp.org . So Mona Nilsson brought a new order with a chain reaction. In Swerdlow s area of expertise are studies 'investigating the aetiology of specific malignancies and several investigating the long-term risks of cancer in people who have had particular diseases and/or received potentially carcinogenic treatments.'

Press item on his latest paper:

Evidence 'increasingly against' phone cancer risk

Swerdlow IS the new Ahlbom

'AJS [=Anthony J Swerdlow] holds shares in the telecoms companies Cable and Wireless Worldwide and Cable and Wireless Communications. His wife holds shares in the BT group, a global telecommunications services company'.

I was asked by several people where the conflict of Swerdlow is written in the paper. For those who maybe wonder about it but don t ask: Scroll down here to the red letters and see:

Subject: Swerdlow conflict of interests statement

The following is evidence of conflict of interest by A. J. Swerdlow, the man you quoted extensively saying microwaves/cell phones are safe based on ICNIRP guidelines.

In the interest of fair journalism, it is incumbent upon you to: 1) correct your earlier error, and 2) to cite Thomas Crosbie Holdings' interests in digital communications.

What is your understanding of the reliability of Swerdlow s coments?

This is our second e-mail to you regarding this matter.

I have written an article titled 'Cell Phone Brain Tumors/Cigarette Industry and You'.The International Commission Can t Say if there is a Link, by Greenall on the Allvoices net mag. http://www.allvoices.com . In the article I point out how there could be simple experiments to demonstrate how brain tumours could be caused under controlled conditons. You may find it useful. If you do could you ask people to respond by using the official White House website and email Pres. Obama and ask him to respond to the issues raised on the website http://www.cancerfraudbadbiotech.com. I have taken a severe pounding by my stand for honesty in reseach and would appreciate any help possible.I believe my small request should not hurt anyone.

The positions taken in this ICNRP review cannot easily be separated from the heavy industry funding for the work, which included direct financial support from the Mobile Manufacturers?
