I read a couple of documents from EMF groups urging the CPUC to have the utilities ''file a smart meter opt-out plan.'' Requesting an opt-out plan means we have accepted the CPUC s and the utilities? jurisdiction over us!

Requesting an Opt-Out means we have already OPTED INTO the Smart Grid plan, and now we are begging them, as subjects at the gate of the king, to please have mercy on us and allow us a way to avoid the suffering.

When have you opted into the program?

Don t we, as consumers, have the power to refuse a product we don t want?

When have we surrendered our sovereignty?

As an individual, please protect yourself and send your electricity, gas and water utilities certified letters informing them you refuse to opt into the program. Samples of these letters are available at: http://stopsmartmeters.org/

Members of groups who submitted documents asking the CPUC for an out-out: please rescind them as soon as possible and replace them with a clear and unambiguous statement that you REFUSE TO OPT INTO the smart meter plan.

Refusing to opt into the program+locking up our meters is the only way we maintain our sovereignty and remain free.
