Bundesregierung beschleunigt Sonnenuntergang

''Die drastische und überstürzte Kürzung der Solarförderung bricht der Solarbranche das Genick und gefährdet Tausende Arbeitsplätze vor allem in Ostdeutschland. Es ist doch aberwitzig, eine Zukunftsbranche wie die Solarzellenproduktion und deren Zulieferer fallen zu lassen'', erklärt die Bundesgeschäftsführerin der LINKEN, Caren Lay (MdB), anlässlich der Meldungen aus Koalitionskreisen, die geplanten Kürzungen der Solarförderung noch weiter zu verschärfen. Caren Lay weiter:

Wer wie die Minister Röttgen und Rösler die Axt an die Fotovoltaik legt, gefährdet den notwendigen Umstieg auf Erneuerbare Energien. Die versprochene Energiewende fährt ohne den weiteren Ausbau der Solarenergie vor den Baum. Die Energiepolitik der Bundesregierung stellt die falschen Weichen. Die Einschnitte in die Solarförderung sind falsch und kurzsichtig, sowohl ökologisch als auch wirtschaftlich. Geplante Solarparks und andere Projekte fallen nun dem Rotstift zum Opfer. Stadtwerke und Investoren stehen in den Startlöchern und werden nun brüskiert. Bereits die letzten Kürzungen haben viele Firmen in die Insolvenz getrieben, insbesondere im Osten gehen Tausende Arbeitsplätze verloren. Die Kürzungen sind nichts anderes als ein Arbeitsplatzprogramm für die Konkurrenz aus China, der die deutschen Firmen immer weniger standhalten können.

How many people were harmed by Fukushima in the short term? Official studies have chipped away at the oft-repeated claim that nobody died from Fukushima. Last month brought the news that 573 deaths in the area near the stricken reactors were certified by coroners as related to the nuclear crisis, with dozens more deaths to be reviewed. Another survey showed that births near Fukushima declined 25% in the three months following the meltdowns. One physician speculated that many women chose to deliver away from Fukushima, but an increase in stillbirths remains as a potential factor...
