Drei schallende Ohrfeigen für die Kanzlerin

Zur Rede des Bundespräsidenten Wulff, erklärt die Vorsitzende der Partei DIE LINKE, Gesine Lötzsch:

Der Bundespräsident hat in seiner Rede zur Finanzkrise der Kanzlerin drei schallende Ohrfeigen versetzt:

1. stellt er fest, dass die Kosten der Krise nicht fair auf die Gesellschaft verteilt werden. Bankenmanager werden von der Regierung immer wieder geschont.

2. stellt er fest, dass die Kanzlerin die Demokratie missachtet und sich von den globalen Finanzmärkten treiben lässt und nicht mehr das Heft des Handels in der Hand hat.

3. stellt er fest, dass die Kanzlerin kein Konzept für die Lösung der Finanzkrise hat und Einzelmaßnahmen die Krise nicht beenden werden.

Ich habe große Zweifel, dass diese Bundesregierung überhaupt in der Lage ist, die Krise zu lösen. Das wäre überhaupt nur möglich, wenn sie die alten neoliberalen Konzepte auf den Müllhaufen der Geschichte werfen.

Wir brauchen jetzt eine Regierung, die den Mut hat, die Finanzindustrie wirksam zu regulieren, eine demokratisch legitimierte Wirtschaftsregierung in Europa zu etablieren und eine Finanztransaktionssteuer durchzusetzen. Eurobonds sind nur dann sinnvoll, wenn sie in einem Gesamtregulierungspaket eingebunden werden.
