Erneuerbare Energien tragen in erheblichem Umfang zur regionalen Wertschöpfung bei. Das belegt eine Studie der Universität Kassel. Zugleich geben die Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler Empfehlungen, wie beim Bau von Anlagen das regionale Wertschöpfungs-Potenzial genutzt werden kann. Eine Forschungsgruppe unter Führung von Prof. Dr. Reinhold Kosfeld, Leiter des Fachgebiets Statistik an der Universität Kassel, untersuchte für die Studie, welche regionalwirtschaftlichen Effekte die verschiedenen Strom-Erzeugungsarten Photovoltaik, Windkraft, Wasserkraft und Biogas haben.
