Zum heute vom Bundestag zu verabschiedenden Mietrechtsänderungsgesetz erklärt die Vorsitzende der Partei DIE LINKE, Katja Kipping:

Die Bundesregierung und die Koalition machen sich einmal mehr zur Vollstreckerin von Lobbyisten. Waren es zu Beginn der schwarz-gelben Regierung die Hoteliers, die steuerlich begünstigt wurden, ist es heute die Immobilienlobby. Trotz aller Warnungen von Wissenschaftlern und Sozialverbänden wird das Mietrecht knallhart nach dem Leitprinzip Vermieter- vor Mieterrecht gravierend geändert.

Die Gesetzesnovelle löst das Problem der rasant steigenden Mieten in Großstädten, Ballungszentren und Universitätsstädten in keiner Weise. Die Mietenexplosion trifft längst nicht mehr nur Ärmere, sondern auch die Mittelschichten. Es war absehbar ein Fehler, dass Union und SPD im Rahmen der Förderalismusreform die Wohnungsbauförderung zur Ländersache gemacht haben. Es ist daher geheuchelt, wenn sich der SPD-Kanzlerkandidat Steinbrück in seiner Nominierungsrede darüber beschwerte, dass der soziale Wohnungsbau Ländersache sei. Das wurde er mit den Stimmen von SPD und Union.

Im Rahmen einer mietenpolitischen Offensive der LINKEN findet am kommenden Sonnabend, dem 15.12.2012, eine wohnungs- und mietenpolitische Konferenz in Göttingen statt. Um den akuten Wohnungsnotstand von rund 250.000 fehlenden Wohnungen zu beheben, fordert DIE LINKE in allen Bundesländern den sozialen Wohnungsbau zu forcieren. Die Bundesregierung wird zudem aufgefordert, in allen wichtigen, das Mietrecht betreffenden Gesetzen, ein sozial ausgewogenen Verhältnis zwischen Mietern und Vermietern zu sichern.

Zur gesellschaftlichen Realität in Deutschland gehören inzwischen besonders in Groß- und Universitätsstädten sowie Ballungszentren Mietpreis-Explosionen, Notstand an bezahlbarem Wohnraum und in Folge dessen eine wachsende Zahl von wohnungs- und obdachlosen Menschen. Die Bundesregierung weigert sich dieses Problem überhaupt zu Kenntnis zu nehmen. DIE LINKE wendet sich entschieden gegen die Auswirkungen des jüngst verabschiedeten Mietrechtsänderungsgesetz, die Wohnungsräumungen und die Einführung neuer Kündigungsgründe durch Vermieter erleichtern. DIE LINKE fordert eine grundlegende Neuausrichtung der Wohnungspolitik. Diese darf nicht länger dem Diktat des Marktes unterworfen werden. Jeder Mensch muss das Recht auf bezahlbaren und angemessenen Wohnraum haben. Deshalb gehört das Recht auf Wohnen ins Grundgesetz. Um den akuten Wohnungsnotstand von rund 250.000 fehlenden Wohnungen in Deutschland zu beheben, fordert DIE LINKE in allen Bundesländern den sozialen Wohnungsbau zu forcieren. Zur Sicherung von kommunalen Wohnungsbeständen müssen Verkäufe an renditeorientierte Unternehmen verboten werden. Zudem sieht DIE LINKE sofortigen Handlungsbedarf darin, die horrenden Steigerungen bei Neuvermietung und unterbinden.

DIE LINKE unterstützt die Forderungen der Nationalen Armutskonferenz zur Bekämpfung von Armut und Ausgrenzung. Wer Armut bekämpfen will, muss auch umverteilen wollen. So wie es im ersten Entwurf des Armutsberichts der Bundesregierung formuliert wurde und im zweiten Entwurf von derselben Bundesregierung schon wieder gestrichen worden ist. Zur Verlegung von Bundeswehrsoldaten und Patriot-Raketen in die Türkei erklärt Christine Buchholz, Mitglied im Geschäftsführenden Parteivorstand der Partei DIE LINKE:

Die Bundesregierung ist dabei, Deutschland zu einer Kriegspartei im Nahen Osten zu machen. Sie drückt die Verlegung von Raketensystemen und bis zu 400 Bundeswehrsoldaten in die Türkei im Eiltempo durch. Ihre Argumente sind vorgeschoben. Die Patriot-Raketen sind ungeeignet, Zivilisten in der türkisch-syrischen Grenzregion zu schützen. Es liegt auch kein Angriff gegen die Türkei vor.

Die Erdogan-Regierung hat die Patriot-Raketen angefordert, um die NATO in ihren Grenzkonflikt mit Syrien hineinzuziehen. Das türkische Parlament hat bereits die Vollmacht für einen Einmarsch nach Syrien erteilt. Die Stationierung der deutschen Abwehrraketen erhöht die Kriegsgefahr, weil sie die Erdogan-Regierung zu militärischen Handlungen ermutigt.

Die Verlegung der Patriot-Raketen ist Teil des Umbaus der Bundeswehr zu einer global agierenden Interventionsarmee. Die Bundesregierung will militärische Einsatzfähigkeit unter echten Einsatzbedingungen demonstrieren. Dafür riskiert sie, dass Deutschland in einen Krieg im Nahen Osten hineingezogen wird.

Es ist erbärmlich, dass SPD und Grüne mehrheitlich erneut eine Politik unterstützen, die Deutschland zu einer internationalen Kriegspartei macht. DIE LINKE sagt NEIN zur Verlegung von Bundeswehrtruppen in die Türkei.

Abgespeist: Überflüssig Gemachte und Gemachtes an einer Tafel

''Das Geschäft mit den »Tafeln« boomt. Ursprünglich eine Einrichtung für Wohnsitzlose, präsentiert es sich nicht nur als zunehmend unverzichtbare armutspolitische Kompensation für sozialstaatliche Defizite, sondern mittlerweile auch als günstiger, imageförderlicher und auch noch ?ökologischer? Ausweg aus den Verwertungsproblemen des Lebensmitteleinzelhandels. Sogar einen »Nachhaltigkeitspreis« gab es für den Bundestafelverband bereits, verliehen vom Lebensmittelhandel. Doch wollten sich die Tafel-Betreiber nicht eigentlich selbst überflüssig machen? Und liefert die Etablierung und Professionalisierung der Tafeln nicht gerade die Legitimation dafür, den Sozialstaat ab- und mittelalterlich-feudale Almosen- und Fürsorgemaßnahmen wieder aufzubauen? Grund genug zum Nachdenken, auch in den Kirchen. Die Katholische Arbeitnehmer-Bewegung (KAB) in der Diözese Trier hatte daher am 31.
