Die Bundesregierung hat offenbar Angst vor den Tatsachen, die in einem Armutsbericht amtlich durch Behördenmitarbeiter des Bundesarbeitsministeriums belegt wurden. Zahlreiche Passagen wurden vernebelt, gestrichen oder beschönigt. Der Traum, mit einer rot-rot-grünen Mehrheit im Bundesrat Angriffe auf die Grundrechte abwehren zu können, ist seit heute ausgeträumt. Wieder hat sich eine große Koalition von SPD, Union und FDP durchgesetzt. Telekommunikationsunternehmen sind jetzt verpflichtet, weitere Daten von Verbindungen bis hin zu Passwörtern herauszugeben und das ausgerechnet am Tag der Pressefreiheit. Damit wird das Recht auf informationelle Selbstbestimmung weiter ausgehöhlt.

Es mag ein guter Tag für Überwachungsfetischisten und Sicherheitsbehörden sein. Es ist ein schlechter Tag für die Grundrechte!

Der Vorsitzende der LINKEN, Bernd Riexinger, kritisiert die Rentenpläne der SPD als ''unausgegoren'' und fordert von der Partei ein klares Bekenntnis zum Prinzip der lebensstandardsichernden Rente. Er erklärt:

Das Rentenkonzept der SPD ist eine Mogelpackung. Es ist doch einfach nur absurd, die Sicherung des Rentenniveaus bei 50 Prozent zu versprechen, wenn es dank der rot-grünen Rentenkürzungsprogramme schon jetzt nach amtlicher Berechnung unter 50 Prozent liegt. Allein daran sieht man, wie unausgegoren das Konzept ist. Die SPD hat im Kern beschlossen, bis 2020 die Hände in den Schoß zu legen und nichts gegen die weitere Senkung des Rentenniveaus zu unternehmen. Die Ostrentenangleichung wird ins nächste Jahrzehnt verschoben. Es gibt keine feste Barriere gegen Altersarmut. Alles steht unter Vorbehalt. Alles ist mit einem Wenn und Aber versehen. Gerechtigkeit geht anders. Die Partei hat Steinbrück damit die Lizenz zum Rentenkürzen ausgestellt. Dieses Rentenkonzept ist ein Signal für eine große Koalition. Solange die SPD sich nicht klipp und klar zu dem Grundsatz bekennt, dass die Renten mit den Löhnen steigen müssen, bleibt sie gefangen in den Lebenslügen der Agenda 2010. Für einen Politikwechsel in der Rente muss sich die SPD deutlich mehr bewegen.
