Die hohen Aufstockerzahlen bei Hartz IV sind ein Indiz für die Verbreitung von Lohndumping in Deutschland. Besonders im Osten reichen viele Löhne nicht für ein Leben oberhalb der Armutsgrenze. Für DIE LINKE ist es nicht akzeptabel, dass Hungerlöhne durch staatliche Unterstützung für die Betroffenen erst möglich werden. Das ist faktisch eine staatliche Subventionierung der Unternehmen, die Hungerlöhne zahlen. Die hohen Aufstockerzahlen zeigen einmal mehr, wie wichtig die Einführung eines flächendeckenden Mindestlohns in Deutschland ist, der von Schwarz-Gelb seit Jahren verhindert wird. Die Regierungskoalition verweigert den Mindestlohn und schröpft die öffentlichen Kassen für die Subvention von Hungerlöhnen.

Die Bundesregierung will weiter nur kleine und mittlere Einkommen schröpfen, statt endlich auch Reiche und Vermögende zur Kasse zu bitten, um die Löcher in den öffentlichen Haushalten zu stopfen, kritisiert die Vorsitzende der Partei DIE LINKE, Gesine Lötzsch:

Es ist ein Kniefall vor Herrn Ackermann und der Bankenlobby, wenn Bundesfinanzminister Schäuble verkündet, dass er die Finanztransaktionssteuer nicht durchsetzen kann. Er verzichtet damit bewusst auf mindestens 2 Milliarden Euro Mehreinnahmen jährlich, die sich aus Spekulationsgeschäften von Reichen und Vermögenden speisen. Die LINKE fordert, die Steuerlasten gerecht zu verteilen. Die Steuermehreinnahmen müssen zu einem Drittel für die Beseitigung von Armut sowie die Entlastung kleiner und mittlerer Einkommen genutzt werden. Ein Drittel der Steuermehreinnahmen muss in eine sozial-ökologische Energiewende investiert und das letzte Drittel sollte für den Schuldenabbau genutzt werden.

'Vor der Sachverständigen-Anhörung zum Regierungsentwurf für ein Gesetz zu Regelungen des Beschäftigtendatenschutzes am morgigen Montag, 23. Mai 2011, im Innenausschuss des Deutschen Bundestages erneuert die Vereinte Dienstleistungsgewerkschaft (ver.di) ihre Kritik an den Regierungsvorschlägen. 'Nach wie vor sind keine unserer Kernforderungen für einen wirksamen Schutz der Beschäftigtendaten erfüllt', sagte der stellvertretende ver.di-Vorsitzende Gerd Herzberg. 'Nur ein eigenständiges Beschäftigtendatenschutzgesetz kann helfen, die Datenskandale aus der Vergangenheit einzudämmen.' Mit dem vorliegenden Regierungsentwurf aber würden die bekannten Datenskandale der Vergangenheit, etwa bei der Deutschen Telekom AG oder bei Lidl, legalisiert. Am 11. Mai 2001 wurde die Rentenreform und die Riesterrente beschlossen. Ein Erfolg ist das Modell seitdem vor allem für Versicherungsunternehmen. Die Bundesgeschäftsführerin der LINKEN, Caren Lay, erklärt:

Vor 10 Jahren freuten sich der damalige Kanzler Schröder und sein Arbeitsminister Riester: Die Riesterrente war durch den Bundesrat. Wahre Begeisterung löste die Rente vor allem bei den Unternehmen der Versicherungswirtschaft aus - bis heute. Im Zuge der Rentenreform 2001 wurde das Nettorentenniveau von 70 auf 67 Prozent gesenkt, durch die Preisgabe der Fürsorgepflicht des Staates wurden Bürgerinnen und Bürger quasi gezwungen, privat für ihre Altersvorsorge zu zahlen. Das - im Gegenzug - gemachte Versprechen stabiler Rentenbeiträge wurde alsbald gebrochen. In der Folge bedeutete dies für Arbeitnehmerinnen und Arbeitnehmer, Rentnerinnen und Rentner, die zunehmende Gefahr von Altersarmut und sinkende Renten. Das Konzept der Riester-Rente steht seit ihrem Bestehen massiv unter Kritik. Einerseits wird die Versicherungswirtschaft mit Milliardensummen subventioniert. Andererseits lohnt sich die Riester-Rente für Beschäftigte mit geringem Einkommen oder Langzeitarbeitslose gar nicht, da die Sparsumme mit der Grundsicherung im Alter verrechnet wird. Zudem werden den Versicherten über die Maßen hohe Verwaltungsgebühren aufgebürdet, die am Erfolg des Modells nachhaltig zweifeln lassen. Am Ende lässt sich das 'Riestern' 10 Jahren nach Einführung auf einen Nenner bringen: Abzocke von Verbraucherinnen und Verbrauchern.

Den Müll bringen wir am Montag, den 16. Mai zurück vor ihren Amtssitz. 25.000 Münchnerinnen und Münchner hatten im Winter beim Kulturfestival ?Tollwood? ein symbolisches 'Atommüllfass' mit einer Abschalt-Forderung unterschrieben, um diesen Atommüll an Bundeskanzlerin zurückzusenden. Gleichzeitig unterschrieben sie, wie insgesamt eine viertel Millionen Menschen, den Appell Atomkraft Abschalten! Der Termin ist nicht beliebig: Am gleichen Tag wird die Reaktorsicherheitskommission ihren Bericht der Regierung übergeben. Und am Tag darauf beginnt in Berlin die 'Kerntechnische Jahrestagung' der Atomlobby.
