Zogby, Arab American Institute: 'Let me state quite directly: Islamophobia and those who promote it are a greater threat to the United States of America than Anwar al Awlaqi and his rag-tag team of terrorists. On one level, al Awlaqi, from his cave hide-out in Yemen, can only prey off of alienation where it exists. Adopting the persona of a latter-day Malcolm X (though he seems not to have read the last chapters of the 'Autobiography' or learned the lessons of Malcolm's ultimate conversion), he appears street-smart, brash, self-assured and assertive - all of the assets needed to attract lost or wounded souls looking for certainty and an outlet for their rage. Like some parasites, al Awlaqi cannot create his own prey. He must wait for others to create his opportunities, which until now have been isolated and limited - a disturbed young man here, an increasingly deranged soldier there.'

Der Dokumentarfilm beleuchtet, unter welchen Bedingungen Lebensmittel produziert, verarbeitet und konsumiert werden, und zwar vom Feld bis auf den Teller, von den verwendeten Pestiziden bis hin zu Zusatzstoffen und Kunststoffen, mit denen die Lebensmittel in Berührung kommen. Am Beispiel von verschiedenen Pestiziden, vom Süßstoff Aspartam und von der in vielen Verpackungen enthaltenen Substanz Bisphenol A wird deutlich, wie mangelhaft und ungeeignet die Bewertungs- und Zulassungsverfahren für chemische Lebensmittelzusätze sind. Der Dokumentarfilm zeigt außerdem, mit welchen Mitteln die Industrie Druck ausübt und manipuliert, um weiterhin hochgiftige Produkte vermarkten zu können.

Schließlich wird vor allem deutlich gemacht, wie der Mensch sein Immunsystem durch gesunde Ernährung stärken kann. Dass dies möglich ist, beweisen zahlreiche wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen.'

Atomparteien und Atomlobby machen gemeinsam Wahlkampf

'Die AKW-Betreiber halten noch still, um die Atomparteien an der Macht zu halten', erklärt die Vorsitzende der Partei DIE LINKE, Gesine Lötzsch, zur Abschaltung alter AKW durch die Kanzlerin. Gesine Lötzsch weiter:

Wieder gibt es eine unheilige Allianz zwischen den Atomparteien und der Atomlobby. Man könnte meinen, dass die Betreiber ihr gutes Recht in Anspruch nehmen und gegen die Entscheidung der Kanzlerin, die sieben Alt-AKW abzuschalten, klagen. Das tun sie nicht, noch nicht. Sie warten die anstehenden Landtagswahlen ab, um anschließend der Bundesregierung ihre Entschädigungsforderungen zu präsentieren. Die Zeche sollen dann die Bürgerinnen und Bürger in Form von höheren Strompreisen zahlen. DIE LINKE fordert die dauerhafte Abschaltung der alten AKW sowie den schnellen Ausstieg aus der Atomtechnologie in Deutschland und in Europa. Wir brauchen einen Atomausstieg, der wirklich wasserdicht ist, einen Atomausstieg, den eine andere Regierungnicht einfach über Nacht kündigen kann. Wir fordern die Kanzlerin auf, keine Deals mit der Atomlobby auf Kosten der Bürgerinnen und Bürgern abzuschließen. Wir brauchen sofort wieder eine Kontrolle der Strompreise, damit die Atomlobby die Krise nicht nutzt, um daraus Profit zu schlagen. Es gibt keinen Grund, die Strompreise zu erhöhen. Die Bürgerinnen und Bürger haben bei den anstehenden Wahlen die Möglichkeit, die Atom-Parteien abzuwählen. Wir brauchen Landesregierungen und eine Bundesregierung, die den Mehrheitswillen der Bevölkerung umsetzen. Wenn diese Regierungen das nicht wollen oder können, dann müssen sie abtreten.

Wir haben einen Petitionstext erarbeitet und ihn am 14. März als Petition beim Deutschen Bundestag eingereicht. Nach Bearbeitung durch die Bundestagsverwaltung wird die Petition dann in ca. zwei Wochen zeichenbar sein. Ihr könnt Euch jedoch schon vorab bei uns eintragen und, wenn Ihr wollt, ein Statement abgeben. Sobald die offizielle Zeichnungsfrist beginnt, werdet Ihr dann von uns umgehend benachrichtigt.

Aus!Sitzen: Start einer bundesweiten Kampagne gegen S21 Parkschützer laden in die Hauptstadt des Widerstands ein

Stuttgart, 14. März 2011: Kurz vor der heutigen Montagsdemonstration besetzten die Parkschützer die Schillerstraße vor dem Stuttgarter Hauptbahnhof. Zum Auftakt der Kampagne Aus!Sitzen. verteilten sie über tausend Strohsäcke an die Teilnehmer der Demonstration und forderten sie auf, sich zu ihnen auf die Straße zu setzen.

Die Parkschützer wollen mit der Kampagne Aus!Sitzen. den endgültigen Ausstieg aus dem Prestigeprojekt Stuttgart 21 erreichen. Für die kommenden Wochen sind mehrere Aktionen geplant. Höhepunkt der Kampagne ist eine gewaltfreie Sitzblockade am 23. und 24. Mai, die parallel zum ersten bundesweiten Aktionscamp in Stuttgart stattfindet. Dazu laden die Parkschützer, Robin Wood und die Anstifter vom 20. bis zum 24. Mai 2011 nach Stuttgart ein.

?Wenn Stuttgart 21 auch nach den Landtagswahlen nicht gestoppt wird, ziehen wir die Notbremse und sitzen den Baustopp aus?, erklärt Matthias von Herrmann, Pressesprecher der Parkschützer. ?Wir haben in den vergangenen Jahren alles versucht, um Stuttgart 21 zu stoppen. Doch jeder Einwand, den Umweltverbände und Bürgerinitiativen in den vergangenen 15 Jahren vorgebracht haben, sind systematisch übergangen worden. Ein erstes Bürgerbegehren zu Stuttgart 21 mit 67.000 Unterschriften wurde verhindert, der monatelange Protest zehntausender Menschen zunächst ignoriert, dann diffamiert.

Mit der Sitzblockade Ende Mai wollen die Parkschützer für mehrere Tage die Bauarbeiten am Tiefbahnhof lahm legen. Dazu werden an die tausend Aktive aus dem ganzen Bundesgebiet erwartet. Die Parkschützer wenden sich an alle Bürger, die im vergangenen Jahr zu Tausenden in Stuttgart, in der Region, aber auch landes- und bundesweit für mehr Demokratie auf die Straße gegangen sind. Stuttgart 21 ist in erster Linie ein Prestigeprojekt, mit dem Steuergelder des Landes und der Kommunen verfassungswidrig zweckentfremdet werden. Dieses Geld muss u.a. für die Einstellung von zusätzlichen Lehrern, die Ausstattung von Universitäten, für Krippen- und KiTa-Plätze eingesetzt werden. Gleichzeitig muss die Bundesregierung in sinnvolle Schienenprojekte wie Elektrifizierung und mehrgleisigen Streckenausbau investieren statt in das nutzlose Prestigeprojekt S21.

Die Landtagswahl Ende März entscheidet, wer in Zukunft Baden-Württemberg regiert. Der Auftrag an die neue Regierung stehe jedoch heute schon fest: Stuttgart 21 muss gestoppt werden. Die Atomparteien in die Schranken weisen

'Die große Mehrheit der Bevölkerung will kein Moratorium, sondern den schnellen Ausstieg aus der Atomenergie', erklärt die Vorsitzende der Partei DIE LINKE, Gesine Lötzsch, zur Diskussion über eine Aussetzung der AKW-Laufzeitverlängerung. Gesine Lötzsch weiter:

Die Kanzlerin will die Verlängerung der AKW-Laufzeit aussetzen. Das macht sie nicht, um ihre falsche Entscheidung zu überprüfen, sondern in der Hoffnung, dass sich die Gemüter schnell wieder beruhigen. Die Aussetzung der Laufzeitverlängerung ist ein billiges Ablenkungsmanöver. Wenn es nach der Kanzlerin und den herrschenden Atom-Parteien geht, dann soll alles so bleiben, wie es ist. Der normale Menschenverstand sagt doch, dass man solche Technologien, die das Leben von Millionen von Menschen bedrohen, abschalten muss. Doch bei dieser Regierung ist der normale Menschenverstand ausgeschaltet. Sie hat sich mit Haut und Haaren an die Atomlobby verkauft. Doch die Menschen sind nicht bereit, sich der Atomlobby zu opfern. DIE LINKE fordert die sofortige Abschaltung der alten Atomkraftwerke, den schnellen Ausstieg aus der Atomtechnologie in Deutschland und in Europa sowie ein Exportverbot für Atomtechnologien. Wisconsin 'Budget Repair Bill' Protest

'Das Haushaltsgesetz hat gestern den Senat passiert. Die Protestierenden kämpften seit dem 15. Februar gegen das Gesetz, das die gewerkschaftlichen Rechte der öffentlichen Angestellten massiv einschränkt. Das Gesetz sieht u.a. vor, dass die öffentlichen Angestellten nicht mehr kollektiv über ihre Renten und Gesundheitsvorsorge verhandeln dürfen. Bei Lohnverhandlungen ist es den Gewerkschaften zukünftig verboten, Forderungen zu erheben, die über den Teuerungsindex (Consumer Price Index) hinaus gehen. Die 14 Demokratischen Senatoren, die den Bundesstaat verlassen hatten, um zu verhindern, dass das Gesetz durchgeht, wollen gerichtlich gegen das Gesetz vorgehen. Madison - Berlin: 'Strong unions = a strong country' - Demonstrationen gegen Angriff auf Gewerkschaften

?Am Nachmittag des 12. März 2011 trafen sich rund 50 Aktivistinnen und Aktivisten vor dem Brandenburger Tor in Berlin, um gegen die massive Einschränkung von Gewerkschaftsrechten in den USA zu demonstrieren. Protestiert wurde insbesondere gegen die am Freitag beschlossenen Maßnahmen im US-Bundesstaat Wisconsin. Organisator war die Ortsgruppe Berlin der US-amerikanischen Organisation American Voices Abroad (AVA). Der Anlass zur Gründung dieser Organisation 2003 war das Engagement gegen den Irakkrieg. Erst das Erdbeben, dann der Tsunami und letztlich auch noch die Atommafia

Was den Menschen im Nordosten Japans zurzeit widerfährt ist schrecklich und erschütternd. Die Bilder im Fernsehen waren und sind grauenhaft und man mag sich gar nicht vorstellen, wie sehr die betroffenen Menschen unter den Folgen des Erdbebens und des nachfolgenden Tsunamis nun leiden müssen, so sie denn dieses Armageddon überhaupt überlebt haben. Naturkatastrophen solchen Ausmaßes machen betroffen, weil es einem drastisch vor Augen führt, wie wenig man sich gegen bestimmte Launen unserer Natur schützen kann. Was dieser Katastrophe allerdings folgte ist schlichtweg kriminell bzw. mafiös. Und das soll an dieser Stelle nicht verschwiegen werden, es war vorhersagbar und wir alle wussten es bereits aus der vergangenen Erfahrung. Seit Jahrzehnten werden wir von der Atommafia und der von ihnen gekauften Regierungen betrogen und belogen. Sie verschleiern und vertuschen, sie kaufen sich 'Experten', fälschen Gutachten und setzen Unmengen an Menschenleben wissentlich aufs Spiel. Und so ist es nicht verwunderlich, wenn auch diesmal in Japan eine Informationspolitik gefahren wird, die jenseits von allem Erträglichen ist. Die Atommafia bereitet just in diesem Moment, wo ihnen ein Reaktor nach dem anderen um die Ohren fliegt, bereits die Lügen für das 'danach' vor... Wir haben selbstverständlich unsere KollegInnen vom LaborNet Japan angeschrieben und nachgefragt wie es ihnen geht und ob wir ihnen, wie auch immer, helfen können, aber bisher keine Antwort erhalten... Der Schutzmantel der Atom-Mafia

Nicht nur Reaktoren haben Schutzmäntel, die betreibende Atommafia auch: Die Regierung beispielsweise ist ein wesentlicher Bestandteil deselben. Die Verlautbarungen der Regierung und der TEPCO (Tokyo Electric Power Company) sind kontinuierlich identisch und mit keinem Wort wird darauf eingegangen, dass die japanischen Städte unter anderem deswegen so große Probleme haben, Mindestüberlebensbedingungen zu garantieren, weil sie durch die neoliberale Finanzpolitik ausgeblutet sind. Dass die Armee nun die Kontrolle über den ganzen Osten Japans übernommen hat, hat bisher eindeutig keine Verbesserung gebracht. Die Erklärung der autonomen Eisenbahnergewerkschaft Doro-Chiba nimmt diese Tatsachen ins Visier und ruft dazu auf, selbstorganisiert den Folgen der Katastrophe zu widerstehen. Die sich ständig neu überstürzenden Ereignisse in Japan jagen uns einen Schauer nach dem anderen über den Rücken. Wir sind bestürzt und schockiert, aber wir sind nicht gelähmt, sondern hochmotiviert, gemeinsam mit Euch dafür zu sorgen, dass aus dieser Katastrophe Lehren gezogen werden.

Nein, das ist keine Instrumentalisierung der Opfer, sondern verantwortungsvolles Handeln, damit es nicht irgendwann auch hierzulande kracht. Es ist unendlich bitter für uns AtomkraftgegnerInnen, dass wir mit unseren Warnungen Recht behalten haben. Und wir drücken in diesen Stunden den IngenieurInnen in Japans Atomindustrie alle Daumen. Aber wir wollen gleichzeitig mit aller Kraft dafür sorgen, dass nicht noch mehr Menschen in eine Situation kommen, wie derzeit Millionen in ganz Japan.

Die Bundesregierung versucht öffentlich zu vermitteln, sie lerne aus der Katastrophe. Doch bisher sieht es danach aus, dass sie eigentlich versuchen, ihre Atomkraftwerke mit Versprechen von Sicherheitsüberprüfungen zu retten. Lassen wir sie damit nicht durchkommen!

Das .ausgestrahlt-Team hatte sich eigentlich auf einige freie Tage nach dem Stress der Menschenketten-Mobilisierung gefreut. Daraus wird jetzt nichts. Wir sind gerade an den Grenzen unserer Leistungsfähigkeit.
