Rüstungsabenteuer zulasten der Steuerzahler

500 Millionen Euro Steuergelder ließ sich die Bundesregierung die Entwicklung einer Drohne kosten, die nie abheben wird. Dazu erklärt der Bundesgeschäftsführer der LINKEN, Matthias Höhn:

Die Riesendrohne ''Euro Hawk'' muss wohl am Boden bleiben. Das ist gut. DIE LINKE lehnt den Einsatz von Militärdrohnen ab. Dass eine Bundesregierung aber einfach mal eine halbe Milliarde Euro in den Sand setzt, ist ein Skandal. Es ist zudem ein Affront für all diejenigen, die tagtäglich mit Kürzungen im sozialen oder kulturellen Bereich konfrontiert sind, weil angeblich gespart werden müsse. Richtig wäre es gewesen, von Anfang an auf dieses Rüstungsabenteuer zu verzichten. Mit dieser grandiosen Fehlinvestition ist der nächste Ministerwechsel im Kabinett Merkel fällig. Herr de Maizière, es sind schon Minister für sehr viel weniger zurückgetreten!

Keine Kampfdrohnen für die Bundeswehr

De Maziere bleibt stumpf und stur bei seinem Plan, Kampfdrohnen anzuschaffen, trotz der vielen hundert Millionen Euro, die bereits im Euro-Hawk versenkt wurden, kommentiert Jan van Aken, stellvertretender Parteivorsitzender der LINKEN die Meldungen über die geplante Anschaffung von 16 kampffähigen Drohnen.

De Maziere will offensichtlich Kampfdrohnen um jeden Preis. Dass der Verteidigungsminister gezielte Tötungen ausschließt, ist nichts anderes als Irreführung. Einmal angeschafft, werden die Kampfdrohnen auch eingesetzt. Dann ist es nur noch eine Frage der Zeit, wann die einmal gezogenen Grenzen eingerissen werden. DIE LINKE will ein Verbot von Kampfdrohnen, denn sie senken die Schwelle zum Krieg, zum Gewalteinsatz. Wer Maschinen für sich kämpfen lässt, entscheidet sich schneller, andere Menschen zu töten.
