''Statt die notwendige Energiewende sozial gerecht und ökologisch sinnvoll zu organisieren, lässt sich die Bundesregierung zu immer neuen Zugeständnissen und Geschenken an die Energiekonzerne hinreißen. Die einseitige Lastenverteilung auf dem Rücken der Stromkunden ist nicht hinnehmbar!'', kommentiert die stellvertretende Parteivorsitzende der LINKEN, Caren Lay (MdB), die heutige Meldung des Handelsblatts, dass die Bundesregierung den Stromkonzernen beim geplanten Stilllegungsverbot für systemrelevante Kraftwerke entgegen kommen will.

Caren Lay weiter: ''Die Energiekonzerne lassen sich die Energiewende versilbern. Die Stromkunden müssen blechen. Denn die Zugeständnisse der Bundesregierung gehen in die Milliarden und sie werden auf den Strompreis umgelegt. Der steigt immer weiter, genau wie die Gewinne der Energiekonzerne.
