Enge Verbindungen zwischen der Gentechnik-Lobby und deutschen Behörden gefährden eine unabhängige Risikokontrolle bei Gen-Pflanzen. Dazu haben wir heute gemeinsam mit der Organisation Testbiotech eine Pressemitteilung rausgegeben.

Wie ein neuer Bericht zeigt, sind Experten, die das Bundesinstitut für Risikoforschung (BfR) zu Risiken gentechnisch veränderter Pflanzen beraten, zugleich für die Gentechnik-Industrie tätig. Einige haben sogar selbst Patente auf Gen-Pflanzen angemeldet.

Aus unserer Sicht handelt es sich dabei um handfeste Interessenkonflikte. Hinzu kommt, dass einige Experten ihre Tätigkeiten für die Industrie nicht transparent gemacht haben. Hier muss das Verbraucherschutzministerium deutlich nachbessern und dafür sorgen, dass wir eine lobbyfreie Lebensmittelaufsicht bekommen! Wir fordern eine offizielle Untersuchung der Interessenkonflikte und wirksame Maßnahmen dagegen.

Today s American soldiers and Marines in Afghanistan fight staring at a surrender date at which point all their fighting and killing and dying and being will be acknowledged as having been in vain. The American soldiers in Vietnam in 1971 or 1972 could at least pretend that after they left, the South Vietnamese government might at least try to fight on and establish itself...
