Der Zugang zu Politikern und Entscheidungsträger dient als Treibstoff für Partys, Einladungen und Sponsoring-Aktivitäten, von denen Veranstalter wie Manfred Schmidt, Unternehmen und Lobbyisten profitieren wollen, aber eben auch Parteien und Politiker. In Nordrhein-Westfalen und Sachsen etwa bot die CDU selbst Gespräche mit ihren Ministerpräsidenten gegen Geld an. Dieser Skandal sorgte 2010 für große Aufregung, aber hatte keine Konsequenzen. Union und FDP verweigern sich jeglicher Regelverschärfung. Mit dieser Politik des Nichtstun vermitteln sie den Eindruck, dass Skandale folgenlos bleiben und fördern die Verantwortungslosigkeit im Geschäft mit politischen Kontakten.

Union der Lohndrücker. Der EU geht Produktivität über alles

''Der jüngste OECD-Bericht dokumentiert in dramatischen Zahlen die zunehmende Konzentration von Vermögen. Der obszöne Unterschied zwischen der Masse der Einkommen und den Bezügen von Spielern im globalen Finanzcasino verletzt das Gerechtigkeitsempfinden, höhlt die Integrationskraft der Gesellschaft aus und untergräbt das Fundament der Demokratie. Viel Geld in wenigen Händen, das bedeutet freilich auch Treibstoff für jenen Turbokapitalismus, den inzwischen selbst dessen ehemalige Verfechter als systemische Gefahr sehen. Die neuen Finanzmarktprodukte konnten nur entstehen, weil gigantische Vermögen rund um die Welt nach immer höheren Renditen jagen. Ein Mindestlohn für alle EU-Bürger

Europäische Gewerkschaftsbund (EGB) hier seinen ersten Kongress seit Ausbruch der Krise - in dem Euroland, das von den Sparzwängen am stärksten gebeutelt ist. Die Delegierten wollten ihre Solidarität mit dem griechischen Volk durch ein gesamteuropäisches Konzept für Gegenmaßnahmen zum Ausdruck bringen. Deshalb formulierten sie eine gemeinsame Strategie, die eine Alternative zu der Lohnangleichung ''nach unten'' bieten sollte. ''Sie haben den Rubikon überschritten. Jetzt geht es darum, die Sparpläne der Kommission zu durchkreuzen'', erklärte Cándido Méndez, der scheidende Präsident der spanischen Arbeiterunion (UGT). Da ein Sozialabbau auf breiter europäischer Front drohe, schlugen die griechischen Delegierten vor, ihr Land als ''Versuchslabor'' für Gegenstrategien zu nutzen. Einer von ihnen erklärte: ''Die Therapie ist schlimmer als die Krankheit. Wir müssen die herrschende Lehre der Europäischen Zentralbank mit ihrer Schocktherapie bekämpfen und mit dem Dogma der Wettbewerbsfähigkeit brechen. Lohnangleichung ja, aber nach oben!'' Von der anderen Seite des ''Europas der zwei Geschwindigkeiten'' kam die Wortmeldung eines Delegierten der deutschen Dienstleistungsgewerkschaft Ver.di: ''Der Export des ,Modells Deutschland' verschlimmert die Situation.'' Und ein Repräsentant des DGB ließ keinen Zweifel daran, dass ''wir auch in Deutschland handeln müssen, nicht nur in Griechenland''. Die Gefahr, dass ''unsere Nachbarn zu Gegnern werden'', beschwor ein polnischer Solidarnosc-Vertreter. In Europa gibt es zwar einen gewerkschaftlichen Konsens darüber, dass der chronische Rückgang der Löhne bekämpft werden und die Löhne das zentrale Thema des Eurosyndikalismus sein müsse. Aber wie das gehen soll, weiß noch keiner. Angesichts der Lohndisparitäten innerhalb der EU und der Tatsache, dass es in manchen Ländern keinerlei Lohnuntergrenzen gibt, drängt sich eine logische Forderung auf: die nach dem europäischen Mindestlohn.
