Occupy USA und die Militarisierung von Arbeitskämpfen: Alle Blicke richten sich auf Longview: ''An Injury to One is an Injury to All!''

''Vor allem an der Westküste der USA, namentlich in Oakland, haben sich engere Verbindungen zwischen der Occupy-Wall-Street-Bewegung, heute weltweit als ?Occupy? bekannt, und Teilen der organisierten Arbeiterbewegung entwickelt. Insbesondere die Hafenarbeiter sind massiven Angriffen ausgesetzt, und umgekehrt ist die Blockade von Häfen, wie sie bereits mehrfach in Oakland erfolgte, für die Occupy-Bewegung ein wichtiges Mittel geworden, um wirksamen Druck auszuüben. In den nächsten Tagen werden sich diese Konflikte in der kleinen Hafenstadt Longview, etwa achtzig Kilometer nördlich von Portland, weiter zuspitzen. Die europäische Statistikbehörde Eurostat hat in einer Datenerhebung die Bundesrepublik Deutschland stark kritisiert, da hierzulande Erwerbslose im EU-Vergleich am stärksten von akuter Armut betroffen sind. Laut einer Auswertung der Bundesagentur für Arbeit (BA) leben immer weniger Kinder von Hartz IV-Leistungen in Deutschland. Die Zahl der minderjährigen Hartz-IV-Bezieher sei in den letzten fünf Jahren deutlich zurückgegangen. Kritiker warnen davor, von einem Rückgang der Kinderarmut zu sprechen. Besonders Beschäftigte im Niedriglohnbereich hangeln sich häufig trotz Arbeitsstelle weiterhin an der Grenze zur Armut entlang. Bundesregierung definiert Freiwilligkeit neu

''Leistungsbeziehende, die sich gegen eine psychologische Untersuchung entscheiden, werden mit Leistungsentzug bestraft, obwohl die Teilnahme freiwillig ist. Dies geht aus einer Antwort der Bundesregierung auf eine Nachfrage der Bundestagsfraktion der LINKEN hervor. Das Bundesministerium für Arbeit und Soziales betreibt in seiner Antwort weiterhin Vernebelungstaktik. Zur Frage der Freiwilligkeit für die Teilnahme an einer psychologischen Begutachtung für Leistungsbeziehende nach dem Zweiten und Dritten Sozialgesetzbuch erklärt die Bundesregierung zum Einen, eine solche könne von den Betroffenen bereits im Beratungsgespräch abgelehnt werden. In diesem Fall würde kein Gutachten veranlasst und auch keine Einladung versandt.
