Zwangsumzug 'völlig widersinnig'

Das Sozialgericht Duisburg (SG) hat in seinem Urteil (AZ: S 6 AS 3419/10) scharfe Kritik an der Praxis des Essener Jobcenters geübt, die Betroffenen nur aufgrund der Grundmiete (Netto-Kaltmiete) zu Umzügen zu zwingen. Im zu entscheidenden Fall hatten die Kläger eine Wohnung deren Grundmiete monatlich 44 Euro über der Angemessenheitsgrenze lag. Die warmen Nebenkosten lagen aber 39 Euro unter dem Satz für angemessene kalte (!) Nebenkosten. Weiter lesen:

Polizei erschießt Schwarzfahrer: Warum weiß man sofort, dass er schwarz war?

'Vor wenigen Tagen, am 16. Juli 2011 wurde der 19 jährige Kenneth Harding von Polizisten in San Franciscos öffentlichem Nahverkehr 10 mal beschossen und erlag seinen Verletzungen. Anlaß für das Massaker war der Versuch Hardings, sich durch Weglaufen einer Fahrschein Kontrolle zu entziehen.Die Polizei war mit mehreren Beamten im Einsatz. Anstatt dem verblutenden Kenneth Harding irgend eine Form von Hilfe zu leisten, bedrohten sie ihn bis zu seinem Tod weiterhin mit gezogener Waffe (siehe Bild) und richteten ihre Waffen auch auf empörte Passant_innen?' so beginnt der Bericht 'San Francisco: Polizei erschießt Schwarzfahrer' von Clara auf Indymedia vom 26. Juli 2011. In den Ergänzungen zum Artikel heißt es u.a.: 'Der Anstieg der Polizei Brutalität löst große Wut aus und führt zu Protesten. Am 16. Juli, dem Tag, an dem Harding erschossen wurde, kam es zu spontanen Demonstrationen in der Bay Area. Stationen der BAY AREA RAPID TRANSPORT (B.A.R.T.) und MUNI CARS wurden vorübergehend blockiert. Am 20. Juli hatte die Gruppe 'No Justice - No BART' zu einer Demo in Gedenken an die Ermordung Oscar Grants aufgerufen. Die bestimmende Parole der Demo war: 'How do you spell murderer? S.F.P.D.!' (übersetzt: 'wie buchstabierst du Mord? - S.F.P.D." = San Francisco Police Department). Auf einem großen Transparent der Demo war zu lesen: 'You Can t Shoot Us All!' (übersetzt: Ihr könnt uns nicht alle erschießen!' Von den 150 Teilnehmer_Innen wurden 46 von der Polizei festgenommen. Bereits einige Tage zuvor, am 11. Juli, gab es eine 150 Menschen große Demonstration auf der B.A.R.T Station, in der Charles Hill kürzlich von der Polizei ermordet worden war. Die Parole: 'No justice! No peace! Disband the BART police!' (übersetzt: Keine Gerechtigkeit! Kein Frieden! Löst die BART Polizei auf!') Es gelang den Demonstrant_Innen für mehrere Stunden, drei der zentralen B.A.R.T. Hungersnot: Wer ruft die Piratenabwehr?

Somalia - das ist die Piratenküste. War das Land in den letzten Jahren anders in den Schlagzeilen der Kommerzmedien? Warum es die Piraterie überhaupt gibt, wieviel Geld in militärische Aufrüstungsprogramme gesteckt wurde, all das wurde zumeist ausgeblendet. Jetzt ist auch dieses Land von einer Hungersnot betroffen, und es wird Geld gespendet. Es gibt die Dürre, ohne Zweifel, wie in den angrenzenden Regionen der benachbarten Länder auch. The Treasury will need to issue more bonds to make promised payments to the country s creditors, senior citizens, federal employees, and so on. Without that extra cash, the federal government will need to miss 40 to 45 percent of its payments, according to calculations by the Bipartisan Policy Center. But that is not default. Default is too tidy a term for it. The chaos that might hit after Aug. 2 has no precedent, and therefore no name...

EU-Rettungspaket verpufft wirkungslos

Während das neue EU-Rettungspaket immerhin die Finanzierungsbedingungen von Irland und Portugal stabilisieren konnte, geht es mit Spanien und Italien rasant bergab, Belgien schließt sich an und auch Frankreich wandert langsam in Richtung Krisenniveau.

'Nach den Statistiken der Behörden ereignet sich jeden zweiten bis dritten Tag in Nordrhein-Westfalen eine rechts-motivierte Gewalttat. Für das Jahr 2009 wurden offiziell 163 Fälle von rechter Gewalt gezählt. Hinsichtlich der absoluten Zahlen nimmt das Land NRW somit den Spitzenplatz im bundesweiten Vergleich ein. In Hessen erfassten die Sicherheitsbehörden im Jahr 2009 22 rechts-motivierte Gewaltdelikte, in Rheinland-Pfalz 38. Die tatsächliche Zahl rechter Übergriffe ist jedoch weitaus größer als die Angaben der Sicherheitsbehörden nahelegen. Die Dunkelziffer rechter Gewalt ist hoch. Anders als in den ostdeutschen Bundesländern, in denen unabhängige Beratungsstellen für Opfer rechter und rassistischer Gewalt durch das so genannte Monitoring rechte Angriffe sorgfältig dokumentieren, gibt es in NRW, Rheinland- Pfalz und Hessen keine vergleichbaren Einrichtungen, die derartige Vorfälle recherchieren und sich der Betroffenen annehmen.
