NY Times-A Cautionary Tale
-------------------------------

For those who decide to use wireless telephones at home rather than
phones and computers connected to land lines, take note of the comment
from the Sprint spokesman at the end of this article from The New York
Times. Expect to find antennas near homes to meet the demand of those
who use wireless phones and other wireless devices inside their homes.
Many among them are teenagers and children...

EHS Volunteers Needed for U.K. Government funded Cellphone Testing;

EMFs included among everyday toxins in Irish Times article
-------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Klaus: I am forwarding information regards the U.K. government
sponsored three year

(2003-06) projected study in case some EHS C.I.O. readers with easy
access to London might like to participate and don't know about it. The
obvious snag is this is: they should be EHS PLUS cell-phone users. (That
could eliminate quite a lot of EHS sufferers who never-ever use
cellphones.)

Yesterday's (Monday, October 27, 2003)THE IRISH TIMES aided us
tremendously in educating Irish people as to the possible hazards of
EMFs in homes. It came in the form of a lengthy review (PAGE 13) by
Sylvia Thompson of Pat Thomas' new book, LIVING DANGEROUSLY: ARE
EVERYDAY TOXINS MAKING YOU SICK?

Thompson's article contained a section advising readers on how to
minimize exposure to ordinary toxins. There were 4 references to EMF
hazards in this. They were as follows:

    * Reduce your exposure to electromagnetic fields: cut down on
unnecessary electrical gadgets. Cordless appliances, CD players,
televisions, hi-fis and the like emit electric waves even when on
standby. Keeping these to a minimum in the bedroom is particularly
      important.

    * Keep your mobile phone for emergencies: some studies point to
adverse health effects, particularly for children, of overuse of
      mobile phones.

    * Ground yourself and your home: modern synthetic materials, such as
nylon, are particularly dangerous for sparking off electricity.
Use wood and ceramics where possible and replace man-made shoe
      soles with leather ones.

    * Check new homes for electromagnetic fields: before buying a house,
check whether power lines run directly under or over it.

Imelda O'Connor <ehsisreal@yahoo.co.uk

Dear Imelda,

I often think of you and your hypersensitive colleagues. I hope you are
well. I wonder if you are aware of this opportunity to take part in a
study on hypersensitivity? It is on the MTHR site
http://www.mthr.org.uk/ The Effect of Mobile Phone Use on Symptoms and
Neuroendocrine Function in 'Normal' and 'Hypersensitive' Users

http://www.mthr.org.uk/documents/volunteer_calls/gkt_volunteer_letter.pdf

If you and or your colleagues are interested I have been told they need
as many hypersensitive participants as possible. You could communicate
directly with the research group. If you have problems getting in touch
with them, let me know.

Kind regards

‘Public Safety’

----------------

Hi Klaus

I'm pleased to see that Alfonso passed you information about the piece
on my website www.starweave.com showing pulsing TETRA traces. You may
also be interested in another piece I've just put on the site about
Airwave/TETRA:

The Reign of Terror
---------------------

and

The Committee of Public Safety
---------------------------------
The Airwave system has been labelled ‘PSRP’ - Public Safety Radio
Project’ by MM02 and the authorities. It’s interesting to note the
historical significance of the term ’Public Safety’ and the context in
which it has previously been used.

The Committee of Public Safety was set up and led by Robespierre, who
masterminded the Reign of Terror after the French Revolution. This title
was used to cover some of the worst acts of inhumanity perpetrated by a
totalitarian regime against ordinary people. One of Robespierre’s most
famous quotations is: “Terror is nothing other than justice, prompt,
severe, inflexible; it is therefore an emanation of virtue; it is not so
much a special principle as it is a consequence of the general principle
of democracy applied to our country's most urgent needs.”

See more on this subject HERE [link on www.starweave.com home page] Read
excerpts from Robespierre's speech "Justification of the Use of Terror"
HERE [ditto]

Let us be wary of the use of the term ‘Public Safety’ when it is used by
the powers-that-be to push through policies that make members of the
general public uneasy!

(Thanks to Michelle Crowther for pointing out this connection)

Grahame

Concerning very low frequency modulations
---------------------------------------------

Hi Klaus.

Concerning very low frequency modulations:

TETRA:

To Pulse or Not To Pulse - That is the Question
-------------------------------------------------

see http://www.buergerwelle.de/body_emf-omega-news_27-10-03.html for the
text.

Readers who have a computer with a sound card can adapt it to work as an
audio-frequency oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer.

Make an antenna and attach it to the microphone input of the sound card,
and the card's amplifiers will allow low frequencies to be displayed
(and screen-captured) with the following free software:

Spectrum Lab at: http://www.qsl.net/dl4yhf/hamsoft1.html

It should be possible to pick up any 16-Hz signal.

A simple antenna is a copper wire with a diode attached on one end:
Connect the mic in to both sides of the diode. Radio Shack could help
with this, I think.

Some questions
-----------------

Please, in order to understand a complete overview of the this issue.

What is the relation between Equivalent Isotropic Radiated Power (EIRP)
and SAR ?? or how can I calculate from one to the other and viceversa ??

And what are the relation between both (described into the previous
lines) and Gauss ?? and how can I calculate them ??

And the last one is: Sometimes I have enter in program mode (mobile
phone) and the display appears the number of channel with its RSSI
(Received Strenght Signal Intensity), what is the scale of RSSI? Depends
of the type of mobile phone ??? and how can I Calculate this samples or
how can I relate this one with SAR, and EIRP ??

Thanks in Advanced,
