When I sent the earlier Dr Mercola item on fluoride I forgot to mention electro-hypersensitivity (EHS). Traces of uranium are found in the fluoride mixture that is put into water supplies in Ireland, some cities in Great Britain and large parts of the US and Canada.

From my own experience I know that there is a connection of low level ionising radiation to EHS.
The fluoride mixture is a waste product (!) from fertiliser production. It contains lead, arsenic, beryllium and uranium. Often aluminium is added to prevent water looking dull. Fluoride reacts with aluminium, producing a compound that promotes Alzheimer's (see the mercury items).

In an article in UMG on Chernobyl victims I found that they tend to be very sensitive to electromagnetic fields. Of course the dose of ionising radiation I received when getting drenched in the rain that carried the fallout from Chernobyl was only a fraction of what Ukrainians got (May 1, 1986), but at that time I had severe deficiency in minerals.

The high rates of EHS in Sweden, Norway and Finland may have been caused by the fallout that was higher than in western and southern Europe.

Ionising radiation is  most likely also linked to depression. France has the highest number of prescription of anti-depressants in Europe and it also has the highest number of nuclear power plants in Europe (59 altogether). My homeopath has noticed many of his patients coming back from a holiday in France, suffering a severe depression.

America has a huge number of nuclear power plants, nuclear waste dumps nuclear weapons factories and  weapons test sites. Depleted Uranium (DU) has been used since the war in Kosovo and Bosnia. DU in fact a device the nuclear industry found to dispose of their waste - very much like in the case of the aluminium and fertiliser industries getting rid of  toxic fluoride-containg waste. Thank you so much for this very interesting letter. The connection to
radioactive fall-out has been discussed, but I have never seen any
conclusive scientific evidence for it.

However, the cellular alterations seen in EHS persons are highly, highly
similar to damages seen after radioactivity, X-rays, etc. See e.g. our
