This will break the heart of even the most ardent Republicans

On February 14th. C-Span broad casted a hearing held by the Senate Democratic Policy Committee on “An Oversight Hearing on Waste, Fraud and Abuse in U.S. Government Contracting in Iraq” http://democrats.senate.gov/dpc/dpchearing.cfm?A=19

Throughout the program, C-Span ran a notice  stating that the Committee had invited Republican members of Congress to attend but not one accepted.

The link above has the transcripts from the 4 witnesses that testified before the Committee. I recorded the 10 minute segment from

Alan Grayson as an example of what you can expect if you read the transcripts.

To put the testimony in a proper perspective, I will first include the complete one minute segment from an interchange President Bush had in Omaha Nebraska with Mary Mornin, a lady who is working 3 jobs. This was provided by Al Franken of the "Air America" Radio talk show.

Following the audio clip from Alan Grayson, I included a 5 minute audio clip excerpt from Randi Rhodes, also from "Air America" about the plight some of our returning Iraq veterans are enduring.

How any American, REGARDLESS OF POLITICAL AFFILIATION, can allow ANY presidential administration to perpetrate what you are about to hear (and hopefully read) would be tragic and incomprehensible.

Bush Sending $82 Bln Package to Congress -- Bush was sending Congress on Monday an $82 billion package to fund Halliburton ['U.S. military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan'], pushing the total for both conflicts to nearly $300 billion.

PLEASE, share this post with all you know, in order to raise awareness and effect action on the part of our government.
