We sent to associate an official notice of the Association Against
Injurious Radiations of L'Escala that congratulates the City council by
Sentence dictated in relation to six antennas and station bases on
building ""La Marinada" en Paseo del Mar, 17 de L'Escala (Girona).  The
dismantling began yesterday and nowadays finalized the term, before the
own City council went to dismantle.

CONGRATULATES THE CITY COUNCIL

We are maintaining with an assiduity and regularity, marked by the
insistence and indignation that the stations base of mobile telephone,
in its great majority if not all, lacks the permissions and necessary
licenses for their operation. Most of facilities are clandestine and
would immediately closed and disconnected. 

Before that utopia, it would demand from the local governments an
awareness that at the present time does not occur in its sine, which
comes its demonstrating before the Courts and Courts case by case, in
which are pronounced not few judicial organs with firmness. Put under
ruling analysis relapse recently in relation to a installation of mobile
telephone from AIRTEL, in the cover of the building "La Marinada" en
Paseo del Mar, 17 de L'Escala  (Girona), we can reach the following

Its a case of ignoring the obvious when UK scientists assume that
observed cancer clusters are most likely due to "infections" and not
other environmental factors, such as living near a nuclear power
station. I would not be surprised if old Sir Richard Doll is somehow
involved in this conclusion.

The bogus virus theory and Doll:

In 1987 Doll presented  a study on "cancer near nuclear installations
which concluded that there was "no increase in childhood leukemia near
any nuclear power station."  However shortly after, several well
conducted studies found significant increases in childhood leukemia in
areas around the Sellafield nuclear processing plant. In March of 1989
Doll was engaged to conduct another study on leukemia rates around a
nuclear installation and found death rates 21% higher around the
facility than the national average. Never the one to consider the most
likely cause, Doll came up with the novel explanation that a
hypothetical virus was somehow responsible, without being able to
provide any evidence whatsoever for its existence. This explanation,
even without a shred of proof of its existence, is still the official
explanation stated by the nuclear industry and Government alike.

In 1992, the UK Co-ordinating Committee on Cancer Research announced a 6
million pound study to test the various hypotheses that had been
proposed to explain childhood cancer around nuclear installations. Doll
again raised his pet virus theory, and a helpful colleague, amazingly
suggested that it was modern cleaner homes, that made us more vulnerable
to these viruses, conveniently avoiding a more obvious explanation.
