Asunto: [EMR-EMF] Don't worry, it only fries what we want it to fry

The israeli newspaper "Haaretz" reported on the microwave bomb, while wondering- will the US use it or not? While they refer to frying electronic systems only, it is very obvious they ignore the capability of frying people. As Dr. Hyland has already indicated, the sensitivity of electronic devices is recognized while human sensitivity, although much greater, is ignored when discussing about EMR. The only thing left for us is to hope for the soldiers that they won’t find themselves several years from now with the second gulf war syndrom. Just one question: Where did the song of “no conclusive evidence” disappear, when we are told so surely that “The strong electromagnetic waves do not hurt humans” ? Did they suddenly find the conclusive evidence that proves that people are indifferent to this radiation? Show us this research!

The microwave bomb will fry electronic systems

Haaretz, 20.3.2003, by "Haaretz service”

Several interesting points quoted from this article:[my emphesize]

….“The energy burst will last only for fraction of a second, but because it moves in the speed of light, it will destroy all the enemy weapon systems within a radius of several hudreds of meters. This electromagnetic bomb- HPM (High Powered Microwave) will be the most sophisticate weapon which will be tried in the first time in Iraq…The mysterious microwave bomb has been in the developing process since the 80’s in the american airforce labs in Kirkland, New Mexico. The supporters claim that it fits perfectly to a war battle: The strong electromagnetic waves do not hurt humans, and that’s why it can be used against the iraq defence weapon in high populated areas.
Little is known about the last versions of the bomb, but experts say that it will use the energy of conventional blowing up to create a bow of microwave energy which will move before the missile. This energy moves into the electrical weapon and fries its electric currents, by a “front door”- a radar, antenna or other sensors, or by current conductors, “the back door”.
The bomb can hit several targets at the same time. The main danger is that this technology can be dangerous for the US itself and other rich industrialized countries. In military terms, the most volunrable army for this weapon is the US army. The nightmare scenario of the US army- not a probable one – is that the weapon will not function, will fall into unfriendly hands, and will be analyzed by a non-friendly government or a terror organization. The opponents also say that the side effects are not yet tested. What will happen if the electromagnetic waves detroy the hospitals equipment? What will happen to people with pacemakers? In a report that was written 3 years ago by Ilain Valing, a US army Colonel, it was claimed that the secret research on the new generation of “concentrated energy” tools has come to the production stage of “an active weapon” for the US force. Since Valing’s report, it was reported that the US army rushed the experiment operation rate in microwave bombs. Wiliam Arkin, an interpretor for defence matters, was quoted in the Los Angeles Times as saying that the US army tried a microwave bomb last April, in Maryland. The target was a truck with an operating engine. The microwave antenna fried the ignation systems and the air-fuel mixture, and caused the truck to be paralized. The microwave bombs can paralize electronic devices when they are turned on and also while they are turned off. Donald Ramsfeld said that “from time to time, the real world interfers, and you take something that is in the development process, and you might use it”. Among the countries that are working now on such weapons are Britain, China, and Russia. The soviets believed in the past that a bomb which would be able to destroy electronic equipment would be the most destructive weapon against the US.
