The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was
an
association between occupational exposure to electromagnetic
fields
(EMFs) or polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and mortality from
prostate
cancer among US electric utility workers. Data on participants,
who were
current and former employees of five large US electric utility
companies, had been collected during 1987-1994, and the mortality
of the
cohort was followed through 1988. This nested case-control study
contained 387 cases, men whose underlying cause of death was
prostate
cancer, and five controls for each case. Workers categorized
in the
highest 10 percent of EMF exposure were twice as likely to die
from
prostate cancer as those exposed to EMFs at lower levels, after
adjustment for PCB exposure, race, and active work status within
the
past 2 years (odds ratio = 2.02, 95% confidence interval (CI):
1.34,
3.04). The odds ratio for PCB exposure and prostate cancer mortality
was
1.47 (95% CI: 0.97, 2.24) after adjustment for suspected confounding
factors. Exposure to high levels of both EMFs and PCBs showed
no
association with prostate cancer mortality. Non-White race was
strongly
associated with risk of prostate cancer mortality (odds ratio
= 3.67,
95% CI: 2.66, 5.06).
The association between EMF exposure and prostate cancer mortality
warrants further investigation.

"There are different researchs on this issue. Part of them were
not
published in scientific journals as required but were sent as
announcements to the media, and we cannot relate to them". That
was the
answer of the cellular companies in Israel, about the question
of the
link between cancer and antennas.
In the newspaper it was published today that Israel is first
in the
world for an average time for cellular call. In addition Israel
is
second in the world after Norway, in the number of cellular
phones, with
an average of almost cellular phone for every citizen. The data
is
published in a report of the Israeli Environment Ministry.
During the last 9 years 5,674 base stations were erected. In
1995 were
only 17 bases stations in Israel- 3 for million people, today-
848 for
every million. increase of 32%. The environment minister, Professor
Yehudit Naot, said yesterday that her office checks every antenna
once a
year to measure its radiation level. "I call the public to enter
our
internet website every time they fear that an antenna is erected
without
the required permissions, and to check if the antenna was erected
by the
law. If there will be exceptions, we will act to fix it". [
She probably
means: We will give them the permissions retroactively]
People who allow antennas in their property receive about $1000.
The cellular companies said that all the antennas stand the
in the
strictest standards of the World Health Organization [Don't
they know
that a joke shouldn't be told more than once?]
Remarks:
I want to add that the person who is in charge by the Environment
Ministry on the cellular issue, the head of Noise and Radiation,
said in
a parliament committee meeting that the radiation measurements
are
funded by the industry. Every citizen gets free measurement.
Guess the result. I am very sad to know that we lead the cellular
use,
it's awful. We will pay for it. I wish we find some other area
for
"expertise" instead.

Lampposts
conceal mini cellphone transmitters

Low-power mobile phone transmitters could soon be hidden inside
hundreds
of lampposts and telephone poles in UK cities.
The infrastructure arm of British Telecommunications, BT Wholesale,
is
currently testing the concealed low-power masts in Cardiff,
Wales. If
the trial is a success, similar masts are likely to be introduced
in
other busy cities around the UK.
BT Wholesale has already installed similar transmitters in the
tops of
public telephone booths in London. A couple of lampposts in
the UK
already conceal conventional transmitters, which are much more
powerful.
The Cardiff trial involves 14 lampposts that provide extra coverage
for
a square kilometre in the city's centre. The low power units
only have a
range of around 100 metres. But they reinforce a network's coverage,
meaning connections "drop out" less often.
The transmitters can also help to pinpoint mobile users to within
a few
metres, allowing network operators to provide more accurate
location-based information. The system is designed to work with
any
mobile phone networks, not just BT's.
Exclusion zone
But the plan may stoke controversy among campaign groups concerned
about
possible health effects of the radiation emitted by mobile phone
transmitters.
In May 2000, former UK government chief scientist William Stewart
led a
government inquiry into the health effects of mobile phones
and masts.
The report concluded: "that the balance of evidence indicates
that there
is no general risk to the health of people living near to base
stations
on the basis that exposures are expected to be small fractions
of
guidelines".
However, the report also recommended "the establishment of clearly
defined physical exclusion zones around base station antennas,
which
delineate areas within which exposure guidelines may be exceeded".
BT points out that the new masts are 100 times less powerful
than
conventional masts having a maximum output of seven watts. But
a
spokeswoman for the UK campaign group MAST Sanity told New Scientist:
"They might be low level, but no level is safe."
Groups such as MAST Sanity were enraged to discover early in
October
2002 that conventional masts are already hidden behind signs
at some
petrol stations in the UK. Plans to allow masts to be attached
to church
spires in Britain were also criticised in July 2002.

Gentlemen: I am extremely concerned that the issue of children
and
exposure to electromagnetic fields up to 4.0 miligauss is not
featured
on your site. As you are most likely aware, the 2002 California
EMF
Study has found that leukemia, brain cancer, Lou Gehrig's Disease
and
miscarriage are more likely than not related to chronic, prolonged
exposure to EMF;s in the 4.0 miligauss range.
I have two grandsons who were diagnosed with rare immune deficiencies
who made dramatic improvement after their beds were moved away
from the
wall containing the electric meter (they are cousins living
in different
cities). We were told the boys may develop leukemia. They suffered
chronic asthma and chronic sinus infections.
I subsequently placed guinea pigs against the wall containing
the
electric meter in our own home and their blood indicated significant
problems with their white blood counts -- neutropenia and
lymphocytosis!!!! They developed "hypersegmented neutrophils"
(slowed
DNA synthesis) and one guinea pig suffered osteomyelitis from
the exposure.
Incidentally I have a medical journal article that confirms
"hypersegmented neutrophils" as a marker for radiation exposure.
The
article pertains to "ionizing radiation" rather than the "non-ionizing
radiation" related to electromagnetic radiation.
I think it is particularly significant that such unusual findings
would
occur in the case of exposure to low levels of ionizing radiation
as
well as low levels of nonionizing radiation!!!!
I also have published materials with identical findings of lymphocytosis
and neutropenia regarding EMR exposure in cows as well as guinea
pigs.
Since our country is dealing with a virtual explosion of asthma
AND
since "asthma" was the first problem I noticed after exposing
my guinea
pigs to the "powerwall," I think that, in itself, is an important
reason
to warn parents about their childrens' sleeping areas.
There is no question that ADD, ADHD, Alzheimers, etc., etc.
(as well as
many, many other health problems) are exacerbated by persons
being
exposed at night to electromagnetic fields from electric clock
radios,
electric clocks, monitors, etc. and that our health system simply
cannot
go on to bear the burden of not informing the public about simple,
inexpensive methods of providing safer sleeping areas for children
as
well as adults.
We live only 50 ft. from two high voltage powerlines and have
at least 3
pages of medical problems that are most certainly related to
the
constant assault from the lines that produces inflammation in
every cell
of our bodies!!!!! We essentially suffer from most of the maladies
of
those with Gulf War Syndrome!!!!
One of our guinea pigs died from "reactive renal amyloidosis."
Amyloid
is promoted by "ubiquitin" (heat shock protein/environmental
stress
protein) and is related to every single one of our health problems.
Amyloidosis is a disease of bone marrow. Bone marrow and blood
are very
radiosensitive. It appears from the research that chronic, prolonged
exposure to low levels of EMR interferes with absorption of
folate/folic
acid, thereby causing an inability to fight off stress and resultant
inflammation.
It is time that someone in government stands up and takes responsibility
for informing the parents that some attention and thought must
be given
to childrens' sleeping areas and the long overdue EMF Interagency
Committee Report must be released to Congress!!!!
We have way too many persons here in the United States and around
the
world (persons who depend on many decisions that are made here
in the
U.S.) who are being adversely affected all because of special
interests
such as power companies and telecommunications' companies.
The people are being used as guinea pigs without their informed
consent!!!!!

Tony, Yep, right on. I was just trying to keep it simple, and
was only
observing the scalar interferometry signatures in the clouds.
But the
rest of it is ongoing also, in addition to yet another effect:
the use
of negative energy (big flasher) to try to "eat up" lots of
the
electrons (charges) in a big storm, dramatically reducing its
intensity,
velocity of its winds, and its overall electrical energy.
As the Chinese proverb wishes, we do live in interesting times.

It appears that the U.S. weather engineering picture is even
more
complex than this, as Bob Beckwith told us that Raytheon are
also
engineering the weather using HAARP to teleport balls of energy
and
water around for purposes of weather control.
I have no reason to doubt that what he told us is true. It is
also in
his books.
Add into this mix the Edward Teller-inspired global sunscreen
spraying
project and our own LW interferometers, and it is a real mess.
The other interesting wild-card in the equation is that, according
to
James McCanney, a "heretic" ex-Cornell physicist and mathematician,
the
mechanics of how the conventional electromagnetic model of the
solar
wind and the sun influence our weather is all wrong. Having
read
summaries of his theses, I am inclined to agree with this postulations,
as the "standard" explanations of weather modelling never did
ring that
true to me.

weapons. The media was caught up with the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal
at
the time, and a little thing like new kinds of strategic weapons
being
used against us didn't seem to stop the feeding frenzy they
were in.
The Russians (KGB) started serious weather engineering over
North
America in 1976 -- on July 4, to be exact -- their "bicentennial
gift"
to us. They do have a sense of macabre humor.
