Dear Friends,
Thanks to all of you who prayed for yesterday's legislative
hearing on
the Electrical Pollution Ground Current bill AB529. So far it
has gone
VERY WELL.
It went VERY LATE because of all the interest. There were hundreds
of
people from ALL OVER the state of Wisconsin giving their testimonies
of
how sick they were or how they had lost their farms and their
animals,
their life savings and their dreams, or how their children were
sick,
losing their hair and their health and statistics of cancer.
It was
ABSOLUTELY DEVASTATING to listen to! With some of those testimonies
there were tears just flowing down peoples' faces all about
the room.
Doctors and lawyers and veterinarians and electrical engineers
and
electricians and farmers and sick citizens were all there in
support of
this bill, because they have witnessed what this dirty electricity
running freely OFF of the designated lines, is doing to the
quality of
Wisconsin living. There were so many people telling their stories
AGAINST the big utilities companies with their expensive 3-piece
suits,
who tried their best to say there was "no problem." At one point,
one of
the legislators asked, "Do you mean to tell me that all these
people are
IMAGINING all this?!?" after which the entire courtroom broke
out into a
loud cheer! It was like being in a movie to experience all of
this and
I'm willing to bet there WILL be one some day! There is much
more
battleground to cover and it has yet to be voted upon in both
houses, so
please don't stop praying & spreading the word.
As many of you already know, this bill is only the tip of the
iceberg of
our growing pollution of electron frequencies. Make no mistake
about it,
as Representative Gronemus stated, she feels this is THE MOST
IMPORTANT
BILL she has ever initiated into law!

I hadn't realized that the WI Assembly Committee on Energy and
Utilities
hearing re. Bill 529 (to make the utilities get the return current
off
the ground, and making them responsible for damages) was available
via
the Internet yesterday. All 7 1/2 hours of it. I later received
the
following account from someone who did tune in. It seems there
is
actually hope for this legislation passing. Please pray, send
blessings
or luck or whatever you are moved to do to support a positive
outcome!
There is still time to contact the Committee and ask them to
pass the
legislation. Every voice heard helps the cause. Contact me for

you'd like to add yours. Even those of you who live in other
states or
abroad. That'd let them know that this is indeed a big problem.

OK now. I listened to about 90% of the hearing - had to eat
and let the
dogs out once in a while! My husband listened to the morning
parts until
he needed to go to work.
I don't believe that the ENTIRE committee was there in the morning
as
some had prior meeting commitments and I believe that they must
have
arrived sometime later.
I think that it went really well!!! At the end of the day, in
retrospect, I was really impressed by ALL the people who DID
testify.
There were dozens! I really didn't count but I believe that
one of the
committee said around 50 (which also included utility spokespeople).
David Jenkins, Mgr. of the Wisc. Cooperatives talked and did
his
"spiel". It was so duplicated, as if he can't say anything other
than
this "spiel," that the people AND the committee commented on
this! THAT
made me happy and probably the utilities cursed Davy boy's stupidity!
You could hear all the people mumbling after Jenkins was talking
- it
was almost as if he hadn't been in attendance at the meeting
- ergo, he
hadn't heard any/all of the previous testimonies! Duh! Dumb
and dumber!
Yes, there were the other "regular" utility spokes people, the
Wisc.
Mfg. & Commerce, and others, and including some PSC members.
The
MAJORITY were the people! Farmers! City folk! Veterinarians!
Stray
Voltage Lawyers! PhD's! Homemakers! Farriers! Stray Voltage
consultants!
And many varied others!
They were all terrific! Mention was made of ..............all
the
bankruptcies of farmers; all the varied illnesses (and symptoms)
complete with the various types of Dr's they'd seen with
"non-conclusive" test results; all the varied methods used to
rectify
with no lasting results; Amish farmers who don't use electricity
yet had
"stray voltage" the "smoozing" of the utilities with regulators;
the
previous (many) "stray voltage" committees that fade and go
away only to
erupt again and still can't find anything; research on the stray
voltage
effects in Idaho; our BAD electrical system structure; the poor,
shoddy,
fraudulent research that has been done; the remarks the utilities
made
to people saying that they've got to "live with it" (voltage
problems);
Etcetera, etcetera, etc.!
The list goes on and on and .....You really should have listened
- but,
it was on "air" for 7-1/2 hrs. (a little after 10 a.m. until
just before
5 p.m.)
But, I REALLY think that the "committee" heard enough to (from
my lips
to .... ) hopefully learn that ALL OF THESE PEOPLE, from ALL
OVER THE
STATE, and from MANY DIFFERENT UTILITY coverages, that something
must be
wrong!

LONDON (Reuters) - British scientists called on Thursday for
more
research into the safety of nanoparticles, materials so small
that their
dimensions can be measured in atoms, following evidence they
can lodge
in the brain.
Nanotechnology, which could revolutionize the healthcare, consumer
goods
and construction industries, has been touted by advocates as
a potential
multibillion dollar industry.
Prophets of doom have painted a nightmare scenario of self-replicating
robots turning the Earth into a "gray goo."
But Ken Donaldson, Professor of Respiratory Toxicology at the
University
of Edinburgh, said the real risk lay in breathing in designer
materials
so small that they can slip through membranes inside the body.
Research on rats has shown nanoparticles deposited in the nose
can
migrate to the brain and move from the lungs into the bloodstream,
he
told reporters.
So far, it is unclear whether this poses any health threat to
humans.
But Donaldson, who will address a scientific conference next
week on the
potential hazards of nanotech at the Daresbury Laboratory research
center in northern England, urges caution.
"The big worry would be if a nanotechnology business designs
nanoparticles that are fundamentally different from the ones
we are
already exposed to and seem to cope with reasonably well," he
said.
Modern humans breathe in considerable numbers of nanoparticles
on a
daily basis in traffic fumes and even from cooking. In some
individuals
they can trigger asthma or even cardiovascular problems, by
setting off
an inflammatory response from the body's immune system.
The new materials being developed through nanotechnology --
which
involves manipulating matter on a scale of a billionth of a
meter, or
about 80,000 times smaller than the thickness of a human hair
-- might
trigger more severe reactions.
Mike Horton, professor of Medicine at University College London
and co-
director of the new London Center for Nanotechnology, said scientists
were treating the issue "very seriously" and had learned the
lessons of
public disquiet over genetic engineering. He called for more
experiments
to establish how nanoparticles reached the brain and what the
impact
might be. But he dismissed the idea of a moratorium on nanotechnology.
"The impact would be exactly the same as the moratorium on genetic
modification in Germany which wiped out a whole area of biological
science for 30 years. That would be a disaster," he said.

Some 1,700 of the world's leading scientists, including the
majority of
Nobel laureates in the sciences, issued this appeal in November
1992.
The Warning was written and spearheaded by UCS Chair Henry Kendall.

The Environment
The environment is suffering critical stress:
The Atmosphere

many life forms. Air pollution near ground level, and acid
precipitation, are already causing widespread injury to humans,
forests
and crops.
Water Resources
Heedless exploitation of depletable ground water supplies endangers
food
production and other essential human systems. Heavy demands
on the
world's surface waters have resulted in serious shortages in
some 80
countries, containing 40% of the world's population. Pollution
of
rivers, lakes and ground water further limits the supply.
Oceans
Destructive pressure on the oceans is severe, particularly in
the
coastal regions which produce most of the world's food fish.
The total
marine catch is now at or above the estimated maximum sustainable
yield.
Some fisheries have already shown signs of collapse. Rivers
carrying
heavy burdens of eroded soil into the seas also carry industrial,
municipal, agricultural, and livestock waste -- some of it toxic.
Soil
Loss of soil productivity, which is causing extensive Land abandonment,
is a widespread byproduct of current practices in agriculture
and animal
husbandry. Since 1945, 11% of the earth's vegetated surface
has been
degraded -- an area larger than India and China combined --
and per
capita food production in many parts of the world is decreasing.
Forests
Tropical rain forests, as well as tropical and temperate dry
forests,
are being destroyed rapidly. At present rates, some critical
forest
types will be gone in a few years and most of the tropical rain
forest
will be gone before the end of the next century. With them will
go large
numbers of plant and animal species.
Living Species
The irreversible loss of species, which by 2100 may reach one
third of
all species now living, is especially serious. We are losing
the
potential they hold for providing medicinal and other benefits,
and the
contribution that genetic diversity of life forms gives to the
robustness of the world's biological systems and to the astonishing
beauty of the earth itself.
