Unlocking blocked T.V show
Good to see the democracy is not yet completely lost: the debate on cellular antennas will be screened to the public eye this evening, in spite of the effort to block it.
But I noticed something strange: the scientist who was told the show was cancelled, informed the TV representative that he was going abroad in the following couple of weeks. Does it have a connection to the fact that they agreed to screen it now, knowing that he will not be there exposing some important scientific facts?
It may be one of these "controlled debates"- where the real data is not mentioned at all, and emphasized is the image of the "average person" who is there only to talk to the walls e.g. industry representatives and biased "experts". It's just my guess.
Several days ago, a debate was on the Russian channel, where the health ministry representative said that 70 years the issue has been researched, and no proof for danger was found. to the list of damages mentioned, the cellular company representative answered in a question: so if all these proofs really exist, why doesn't the WHO do something about it, why don't governments of the world do anything/ change their policy? Good question. Dr. Mike Repacholi must know the answer.

The cellular antennas debate on T.V: (channel 1, "Popolitics")
Maybe the most important message is derived from the fact that the cellular companies representative cancelled his appearance on the show only several hours before the show. The resistance is not only because of health issues, but also because of the way the cellular companies erect antennas in Israel - hiding, in the dark, like criminals (delete the "like").
A representative from Osafia, the village with about 162 cancer victims, said loud and clear that he has a map with the cancer cases in the village, and they are all close to antennas. He mentioned a research that decided on 13 meters as a safe distance, but in Osafia it's even less, he says.
The host of the show said that the map is not a scientific proof, and that he didn't see any "real research" (his own words) that can prove damage from antennas. The Osafia representative agreed it's not scientific but emphasized again, with good common sense, that all the cancer cases are so near to the antennas. We must be blind to ignore it, was his subtle message.
Anyway, the host was against the wild erection of antennas, in the middle of the night. For example he mentioned an antenna that is very close to a hospital window, and asked Stelian Galberg, the Environment Ministry, how he can allow this to happen. Stelian didn't miss the opportunity to make it clear that he thinks that it's not right that there are houses with antennas and houses without antennas: EVERY HOUSE SHOULD HAVE ANTENNA, for every person. That's real justice in his opinion. Also, he said, we have to remember, that every person that is able to hold something (technically) with his hands, holds a cellular device [and these of course, require - reception]. He also said that they check everything very thoroughly, and that there is a very close supervision on the cellular companies. [that's of course, a pure lie, said with the "right" intonation to sound reliable]
A paid "expert" of the cellular companies, Dr. Riback, was presented as neutral, although he is paid by the companies. He is the head of the public health department of Tel Aviv university. He said that a big research was released last May, about 40,000 soldiers, proved no rise in cancer rate. He also shot another invention: he spoke about 8 groups from so many states including Australia, that made research and proved conclusively, that there was no rise in cancer rate.
Representative from Ramat Hasharon municipality, against the illegal erection of the antennas, told how the companies made an agreement with him, to report and ask for permission for every antenna, and right afterwards, erected in the night, 6 big antennas. All were removed by the municipality because of this behaviour.
It was interesting to learn from Dr. Eli Richter, that Salzburg is moving to optic fibre cables. He also said that the standard is not protecting, and that we should take the precautionary approach - "when there's doubt - there is no doubt". Richter also mentioned biological damages like leukemia, and the paid expert of the cellular companies claimed that Richter confused between power lines and microwave radiation.
Yuri Schtern, Parliament member, said that obviously, the radiation does something to us because it's not natural. He is filing a bill to change the standard and to put the antennas in higher distance from the public.
Also there is going to be a lawsuit in the high court against the programme of erecting antennas in Israel, that was done according to the will of the cellular companies, and denies the public right to resist.
The host of the show summarized that it looks like this issue is not going to stay out of the headlines, and that we are going to see a war about that in the future. The representative from Ramat Hasharon municipality was very determined when he agreed and said that as things go now, he is definitively going to fight back.
It was interesting to note: both Stelian Galberg and Yossi Riback had an uncomfortable body language while Richter was talking about biological damages.
