COLUMBUS, Ohio - As it has done for 200 years, Ohio's delegation to the Electoral College is to meet Monday to cast ballots for president and vice president - but this time, there are demands that the electors wait until after a recount. A demonstration was held Sunday as about 100 people gathered outside the Ohio Statehouse to protest the delegation's vote.

Smoking Gun of Election Fraud is in Ken Blackwell’s Hand

Votergate 2004 is not going away. There are stories every day about the Ukraine and the obvious fraud in their elections but deafening silence about our own elections continues. Last week there were CONGRESSIONAL HEARINGS about voter fraud. Not one GOP Representative bothered to attend, desperately afraid of lending any legitimacy to the allegations. What was presented even made Congressman John Conyers object to the elections results. Where was the coverage??? Not one word from the NY Times??? I can understand FOX not covering an event potentially damaging to their boss, Bush, but the NY Times? This is the same paper that apologized to it's readers for it's horrific coverage in the lead up to the Iraq War, and now they give their readers another reason to not trust them as being objective. Even if you think the allegations are baseless, COVER the story!

Shattering the Myth: An Initial Snapshot of Voter Disenfranchisement in the 2004 Elections
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The unprecedented voting rights mobilization undertaken by the Election Protection Coalition helped millions of Americans exercise their fundamental right to vote in 2004. In addition to its direct service to voters, the Election Protection Coalition successfully collected data on the myriad of problems inherent in our electoral system and has begun to create, for the first time, a comprehensive picture of the barriers that voters face as they go to the polls. Unfortunately, we have documented systemic problems that resulted in the widespread disenfranchisement of American voters. These unacceptable barriers to voting betray our nation’s democratic principles and undermine the fairness of our elections. The rush of relief led by pundits and politicians that the presidential campaign did not extend into a long post-election legal contest must not be permitted to disguise the urgent need for systematic reforms at the national, state, and local levels.

December 13, 2004
by Tom Flocco

TomFlocco.com -- After listening to unofficial but stunning testimony concerning evidence of state-wide vote fraud during a House Judiciary Committee hearing on 2004 election irregularities in Ohio, ranking Democrat John Conyers (D-14-MI) was asked whether he would consider challenging the seating of Buckeye state electors on January 6 when Congress opens the presidential electoral college vote certifying the election of George W. Bush.
Conyers, a Michigan Democrat and senior committee member who convened the Ohio voting aberrations hearing held last Wednesday in the House Rayburn office building, replied, "We are now."

Conyers Alarmed at Efforts to Obstruct Ohio Recount Effort, Calls Witness to Monday Hearing to Detail Such Efforts

IMMEDIATE RELEASE: December 12, 2004
CONTACT: Dena Graziano (202)226-6888

Yesterday, it came to the attention of the House Judiciary Committee Democratic Staff that efforts to audit poll records in Greene County, Ohio are being obstructed by County Election officials and/or Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell. According to Joan Quinn and Eve Robertson, two election observers researching voting records, Greene County officials initially gave Quinn and Robertson access to poll records, and then abruptly withdrew such access. Greene County Director of Elections Carole Garman claimed that she had withdrawn access to the voting records at the direction of Secretary Blackwell. Regardless of who ordered the denial of this access, such an action appears to violate Ohio law. Later, at the same office, election observers found the office unlocked, and what appeared to be locked ballot boxes, unattended. Prior to the withdrawal of access to the books, observers had found discrepancies in election records, and possible evidence of minority vote suppression.

There are people out there who think we are crazy, who think we are bitter-enders, sore losermen, conspiracy theorists and tinfoil hatters. We just cannot accept the outcome of a truly legitimate American election, and we are flailing about like pathetic boated fish trying to change what cannot be changed.
